I’m pleased to say I just pulled the trigger on blocking a member’s posts for the first time in my years on this message board.

Meh, his inconsistencies is the reason why the Sox blew the lead. Not even going to blame the bullpen on that. he shouldnt have pitched the 7th...he was great to that point Get a reliable LHP for the bullpen then. He was at 99 pitches before the inning. Nothing egregious there in terms of managing with 3 LHB in a row.

I repeatedly heard that Chavis was going to be a defensive disaster...meanwhile he just showed great range to his right and a very strong off balance throw for the out.

Not liking the way our offense is starting out hot, then dwindling as the game goes on....we just need a run here, boys!

He'd make an excellent outfielder Quite the troll job you're doing. Everybody knows JBJ's value, his mediocre to lousy hitting and his excellent glove. You're still fixated on his batting average like a guy out of the 1970s. I'll save you the suspense of how this turns out because you don't seem to have a clue. The guy will suck offensively for about another month and then have a hot enough stretch that he winds up hitting in the .230s with about a dozen HRs, and an OPS around .700 - .725. His mediocre offense will be offset by his spectacular run saving defense (a concept you have zero clue about). He'll do this in 2020 as well. Then he'll be a free agent and he'll leave. Then you'll find somebody else to have a foolish fixation on. The end.

If Cora stays with JBJ to lead off the inning he better have him bunting against the shift.

This game feels very similar to last night's game. E-Rod wasn't Sale from last night - very, very few are, but you have the blown lead, the oh so close missed opportunities to score late. I think we're going to see another extra inning loss and if that's the case that would really, really suck. Who do we see in the 10th? Hembree? Brewer?

It would suck to lose a series this way to the Rockies and then have the Astro's coming in for the weekend. We need a walk off shot.

Why can't he just lay down a bunt against that shift to start off the inning?

Figures and the last guy you want up is at the plate of course once JDM is walked.

The Sox needed that break and it bounced up in the stands. Ugh.
