Good things happen when Brockstar plays (he is the anti Nunez). ( he seems healthy at last)

Count the number of blowout games this month. Cora does not do late inning subs. Doesn't rest Xander nor Mookie. Does Cora need a real-time Win Probability chart? I am not going to bet against Cora after last year. He clearly has a plan and runs with it, and it is hard to argue with success. I think there is a method to his madness - who he uses and doesn't use, and when - it would not surprise me if, at the end of the season, his approach to spring training led to later season success relative to other teams. I was just thinking yesterday, watching Tito and Cora in the two dugouts, that we had the good fortune of having two utterly superb managers for our team that brought - and should continue to bring - great success. We are pretty damn lucky! Post of the day. Would give 100 likes if I could.

Teddy Ballgame: Still the GOAT. Not to mention he was apparently a superb aviator. Those three years he lost were in his absolute prime, too. Not to mention the time lost in the Korean War. Bad ass and American hero IMO. Thought I read he flew close to 30 combat missions when all know he could have probably avoided military service all together or just hung back and entertained the troops.

They need to just DFA JBJ. They need runs and with 2 out, you can’t depend on the bottom of the order to drive you in. You gotta swing for the fences, all in, not take a stupid walk. They need runs, not baserunners. I disagree with pretty much everything in this post. Lol, me too. I’m pinch-trolling.

Workman's hook is amazing (if a bit erratic). No time to walk people.

Despite all the hullabaloo about his weight/body type, he’s really not that slow. His speed is totally fine. Enough to get 3 bags here and there. Plus, he absolutely rips the cover off the ball. [b Agreed....and success. Xander's approach a beautiful thing. Then JDM. Here we go! Bogey is just a good, solid player. He might not be *remarkable* in the way we’d all hoped, but he is DAMN GOOD. That was just serious clutch hitting on his part. And frankly, he may yet become remarkable given his relative youth. I’m SO glad they extended him on an absolutely fantastic deal, for the prime of his career.

Bogeys’s walks, barrel rate, LA all keep creeping up, and his production along with them. He and Devers make a fantastic left side.

Chavis may be a bit off with the bat but flashing leather a in a huge spot.
Seeing Workman at 94 indicates his health continues to improve. Nice unexpected weapon to have.

wow, CHavis can surprisingly play some second base though, huh. I almost think he's the best defensive second baseman we have active at the moment, especially as he gets more used to the intricacies of the position.

Depending on how this half-inning goes, Brasier-Walden maybe? This would be a really nice win against a team it would behoove the Sox to bury.

Workman's hook is amazing (if a bit erratic). No time to walk people. His location on all of his pitches has been really good this year, though he does leve the CB up a little sometimes. But he gets GB with it and the high FB (at 93-94 now) in unhittable territory and the CU tight or tailing off the plate have been terrific weapons.

Gotta admit Price is winning me over the last 6 months. Clutch in the post season and so far 1.03 WHIP and 2.83 ERA this year. At least we seeing something for that contract.

Amazing to think of the concern after losing Kelly and Kimbrel off season. Dave D makes no deals.
And here come Barnes, elevating his game, and Workman (on the roster bubble for this year), and Walden. Even with Brasier a bit off and Thornburg a huge waste and Brewer not much.
The main concern is over use due to the poor start of our starters...but so far, so good.
Whoops...a Walden hiccup

That Barnes CB to whiff Luplow was 87.0. A curveball.
Edit: and the GB by Ramirez was off 85.8. Barnes has really turned that pitch into a perfect weapon. If Luplow’d made contact it’d have been a DP. Barnes is just awesome now, after years of small improvements. What a great development story.
