If it’s anything like my father taking me to my first Fenway game, the pitching matchup—and even the outcome—won’t matter much. Just experiencing the ballpark sights, sounds, smells, etc. hooked me instantly. The experience alone will be something he’ll never forget. True to all that. I also wanted Sale because I've never seen him and I'd love to show my boy all those Ks going up in the bleachers in CF. One thing I will be sure to make sure that is etched in his memory is the 2018 World Series flag that will be waving in the breeze. That's a special thing. They certainly didn't have that when I first went to a game. I also think there's a giveaway, a kid's 2018 World Series puzzle or something like that - so he'll love that, too!

Well, now I know why I'm not seeing Chris Sale on Sunday. Hope it's not a serious issue although elbow inflammation doesn't sound like a good thing.

JBJ robbed on a 110 mph line drive to RF. Some would call that 0-1 with RISP, as if he choked.

The Brockstar. You can't stop him. You can only hope to contain him.
Let's go Tigers! Let's go Tigers!

Nothing wrong with our pitchers the Orioles can’t fix.

Good win on a tough day. If we're really going to make a charge here, we'll need a lot more games like this out of ERod.

Missed this game (near Philadelphia - two garden talks here tomorrow, Longwood Gardens) - got back to my hotel room - looks like a great win - all we can do is take them one at a time. As they say in Monty Python's Holy Grail - "we're not dead yet!"

Nothing wrong with our pitchers the Orioles can’t fix. Matt Barnes: hold my beer. That's not entirely fair. If Devers can make that play it's a pretty good inning.

Matt Barnes: hold my beer. That's not entirely fair. If Devers can make that play it's a pretty good inning. I jumped the gun. He did fine. Has Barnes ever thrown a cutter? He has a good fastball, but it is straight. A little movement would make him deadly.
