Looks like Houck might debut this weekend, per Roenicke. Would need a 40-man move. Could be a DFA, but wouldn't surprise me if they inform Hart he needs to go on the 60-day.

Close, Covey and Stock recalled, Peraza optioned to the ats, Brice put in the IL with a lat strain. Since when does Glenn Close pitch, and wouldn't she put us over the 28-man roster limit? Seriously, they did also IL Godley, only they activated Hall to replace them. Nobody off the 40 man. Three of the four taxi squad guys are not on the 40-man: Puello, Houck, Tapia. So any injury except to C will force a 40-man move.
I don't watch a lot of movies but I honestly never knew Glenn Close was a man.

With 5 pitchers on the 10-day I.L., gotta wonder how many of the 5 are done for the year. Sliding one to the 45-day is an easy way to open a roster spot.
Houck, etc. need spots.

So far, the only one that looked troubling to me was Godley's forearm strain. The Sox want to take a look, seems like a no brainer to me, only 2 weeks to go in the season.

Pretty obviously will be a pitcher to the 45-day. They aren't really in a position to DFA anyone - Hall and Pivetta are the only pitchers on the 40-man who aren't up already or on the IL (plus Aybar I guess, but he's not getting DFA right now I don't think).
It's kind of crazy how quickly their depth disappeared. Only hitters on the 40 who aren't up are Grullon, Peraza, Chatham, and Wilson. As Ian pointed out on Twitter, even if they're moving on from Peraza, they're smart to keep him around for the duration in case injuries pop up on the other side of the ball, especially in the outfield.
