I have no problem admitting I'm pulling for TB even though I don't like them or the city.
I'd still think LA in 6: they are much more talented but... TB where they are because they can give their opponents a different P look that's worked so far,and some clutch hitting.

Buehler is absolutely dealing. As good as Morton is, Buehler is better.
If the Dodgers win the world series, it's not hard to see them winning multiple world series and creating a dynasty here. They're so well set up the next 5 years.

Dodgers up 2-1 and I am expecting them to win in 5. I am a huge fan of Davie Roberts and like Chris, I want to see Kershaw beat that bugaboo.Go Dodgers..Mookie for MVP too!!

They're so well set up the next 5 years. In the irregular season, he was 5th among the Dodger starters in ERA, and a distant 5th in bWAR. He gave up 5 R in 2.2 IP to the Diamondbacks in his next to last start.
He's certainly a guy who is great when he's on his game, but he has not achieved the consistency to make him a lock to beat Morton in a game 7, if it gets that far.

MLB ratings are in the tank. NFL ratings are down. NBA ratings were poor. I am sort of baffled... what else is there to do? I would think ratings would be UP. At last where I am movies only just opened, restaurants are still heavily restricted, etc etc. And I don’t buy the “too political“ argument.

As Red Sox fans, it's a tough one to judge. The team was so bad that we wouldn't have had the usual interest anyways. I know going into the season when I had expectations of a reasonable season (before ERod), I wasn't very excited about the year. Maybe I would have changed my mind if the Sox were competitive but I seriously don't know. It had nothing to do with Mookie, it was the 60 game schedule, playoff format and some of the rules changes.

I think the WS ratings have more to do with Tampa being in than anything else. Put in a bigger AL market or more star power in that side and I’m guessing it scores higher. I’ll keep my opinion to myself on the others.

Not sure what is the explanation for the NFL, maybe it's a random blip? For the NBA, ratings have been trending downwards for a while and I think that's due to all the franchise hopping. When a star is only guaranteed to stay on your team for like 2 years, people stop caring. All the intense player movement eventually got stupid.

Crazy theory: with so much extra leisure time, the casual sports fans watched more TV, where there is more quality stuff than any human could ever see.
If you're in the middle of binge-watching four seasons of some twisty thriller of a TV series, are you going to punt that to watch two teams you don't root for mess around with a ball?

Possible. Hard to say because streaming services don’t release numbers. Though, I’d add, I’ve watched a number of the zeitgeist-y binge shows, and most of them suck. Sigh.

Corey Seager is going to be the Dodgers' best hitter if he's not already. You rarely see him miss-hit the ball, it's always scorched.
Can't imagine the Dodgers will let him get to free agency, but it's going to cost a large sum of money.

Arozarena can't be stopped. Looking like another absolute steal by the Rays front office.

Arozarena has to be the series MVP to this point. If this is anywhere near real, it's an amazing find. All time record for hits, HRs, and Total bases which he's destroying.

It's all a SSS, but he did have a .359 ISO in the short regular season so it's just continued on from that. Can't maintain this degree of hot but it probably bodes well that his power goes to all fields including many oppo shots.

What's Mookie career slash line in the playoffs? Every time he's up it seems like he's poping up to RF.

What's Mookie career slash line in the playoffs? Every time he's up it seems like he's poping up to RF. Yea, he's actually been better this year so far but the full postseason numbers aren't good (.746 OPS in his career). Like 2018 postseason, he gets into these ruts where he's popping everything up and making a lot of soft contact. Fortunately for them, this Dodger lineup is so good it doesn't matter much what he does offensively. Most of them are scalding the ball.

Pitch 3 was a strike called a ball
Add. Dave Roberts just doesn’t adapt.

Dodgers are too good of an organization to still be relying on Pedro Baez to play a big role every postseason.
