Okay, sending Richards out for the sixth is a little ambitious

Back in the 2nd inning I figured Richards to go 5 2/3, I just forgot to mention it.

Very random aside that I figured the people on this board would appreciate more than anyone: If you ever are craving attention, just go to Fenway wearing Bellhorn memorabilia. I went to the game yesterday wearing my prized Bellhorn shirsey and was pulled aside by at least 5 different people who wanted to express how much it means to them to see me wearing the shirt. I had one older woman sit next to me during warmups for about 5 minutes to discuss Bellhorn's biggest hits in '04 and how much joy they brought her. Hell, even a couple Yankee fans gave me high fives just because they appreciated the deep cut. Red Sox Nation is probably one of the only fanbases that has such an emotional connection to their team to have that kind of reaction to a random guy in a shirt, just a really weird but cool experience. THe underrated Mark Bellhorn is the only Red Sox player to homer in 3 straight games in the post season. I liked Mark Bellhorn, who was great at whacking RF foul poles. King of the FOUR true outcomes - strikeout, walk, DOUBLE, home run

Hunter Renfroe is quickly becoming my favorite player on this team. Great signing. Nice to see Richards at least go 5.2 innings. The Red Sox are amazing at coming back this year very impressive.

I swear I always scour the internet every now and then to see if anyone is selling a Bellhorn jersey/shersey. Maybe I'll just give up and drop the $150 or whatever on a custom.

Hirokazu Sawamura has been terrific in fact, most of the bullpen has exceeded all expectations. Josh Taylor has found his form, Hernandez throwing more strikes, I thought it was going to be the team's weakness glad I was very wrong.

When I think about Josh Taylor lately, I think about those times I pulled a pair of jeans out of the laundry and gleefully pulled out a couple of twenty dollar bills that I had no idea were in the pocket. Dude is strong!

Gotta give SS Lopez credit for knowing to head for the wall on shots down the line. A lot of visiting SS miss doing that.

Hunter reminds me of Tom Brunansky. Both around the same age when we got them. Like Bruno, Hunter is becoming a fan fave.

Mediocre win.
I don't really think that, but since it seems that someone says "Great Win!!" after every win, I thought I'd jump in with a little contrarian vibe.

Win the next two and they're a 50 win team half-way through the season.

IMO, guidas' "Great win!"s are sacrosanct, but this really was a great win! It just seems like there have been so many games this year where the stars just seem aligned against the Red Sox, every vibe and mood and omen seems to be pointing to a loss, and then they somehow pull out the win anyway. This was another one.
Credit to Cora for not panicking and yanking Richards early by the way. This would have been an easy game to mismanage, but he avoided the traps.

The reason why I'd call this great is that they had no business winning this game. So in terms of actual outcome relative to expected outcome, this was great.
