I don't think an apology is necessary, it has truth to it. Great story. However, showboating and looking at the ball before you throw it was real rookie league stuff for a guy who has waited so long to get to the bigs. When your get there, best to remember who you are playing for and against. *eyeroll* ha. don't like that !! that is OK !!

ha. don't like that !! that is OK !! I guess I just don’t see it. I see a guy playing hard out there. I like my middle infielders to be confident with the glove Anyway washed up JD with a big RBI!

Schwarber: next Papi? Cubs kinda cut and run on him… gets to Boston and takes it to a whole new level?

Am I the only one more confident with Boddy D batting than JDM the past few months? JDM is D.O.N.E.Nice work !!

Your comment somehow caused me to look at Bobby’s RBIs. He has 62 in 342 ABs. That comes out to 100 in a full season. That is not a hot streak number. It is a real number. We should keep this guy.

No matter.....we won anyways. and i did acknowledge that it is a great story . Much credit to him.

Bobby Dalbec's BA is currently exactly the major league average. the strikeout rate has dropped precipitously. he is nearing 33%. Great sign for him.

What has gotten into this kid? He’s not just selling out for power either, he looks like a HITTER My take, but he's likely been getting serious coaching. That and a deep (data) look at how pitchers have been approaching pitching him. It's been said before that being a major league hitter is not easy in the age of Statcast. It takes time, and it looks as if he's put in that time. The last month+ has been outstanding. Can we expect the doubters to relent if he reaches .250/.320/.800? That's not out of reach at all.

Approach has been so much better, defense has been typically bad but tonight he looks great at first

Bobby Dalbec's BA is currently exactly the major league average. the strikeout rate has dropped precipitously. he is nearing 33%. Great sign for him. Very encouraging....Love to see him going the other way rather than trying to pull everything for a HR. He is a big strong kid who will hit plenty of HR's regardless. Don't know if there is data to support what my eyes are telling me but it appears that his swing path is much leveler rather than the launch angle upper-cut

He is a big strong kid who will hit plenty of HR's regardless Eh, part of his issues was that he was only hitting fly balls to the opposite field. Pulling the ball in the air is one of the biggest reasons for his strong second half. Oppo liners good, oppo FB not so much for him.
