Bradley is so lost he didn't even know the count on that strikeout.

I could of sworn gameday said tazawa was pitching the 8th. The gameday guy is probably confused by all the 42s out there.

Bailey, Hanrahan . . . doesn't seem to matter who's closing.

How about David Ross as the defensive replacement? Salty has been a great hitter so far, but he cannot frame a strike for crap.

Bailey woke up too late.
For all the talk of how awesome the pen was going to be for the Sox, it's the starters that have been lights out so far.

Does PITCHf/x or k-zone take into account batter height? Pedroia has got to have one of the smallest strike zones in the majors.

Napoli must hate Molina for some reason, I believe that is the second or third foul ball that Napoli has sent directly into the mask of Molina. This time he broke the mask.

Napoli broke Molina's mask, so they went and found someone else's mask for him to wear. Then Napoli crsuhed the next pitch.

Didn't see it but I heard it was a great piece of base running by Pedroia How so? He took off when Napoli hit the ball and did not wait to see the ball hit the monster, so he was able to score from first.

Man, that ball Napoli crushed was pretty low and off the plate. Not really a bad pitch at all, just nice plate coverage and monstrous power.
Hope this has been a great learning experience for JBJ, but he can't go down soon enough. And not just for his offene; that throw home today was ridiculous, he has to know better and get that ball to second.
How 'bout my boy Mike Carp so far? Wonder when his first start will be.
