Wow, so Doyle has Nimmala in the 20-30 range. I'd be all over that pick underslot. Also at slot.

One more that’s it from me CDJ, number 50. Who would you feel over the moon realistically if he was there. Any pitching at all? That’s it. I promise thank you.

Eric Bitonti is a high school shortstop from California who hits lefty. Hmm…

Shoot there’s a chance one of Bitonti or Peete could be their at 50 too. Seems like they’re linked to Keaschall which I would like a lot more at 50 than I would at 14 lol

One day out. Have to be ready for anything with Bloom, but I really hope Boston avoids these college bats:
Bradfield: .839 OPS is flat out bad for college, SEC or not. His career 13.6% K% only translates to about MLB average and considering that he can’t hit for power, it’s uninspiring.
Yoyo Morales: He’s got a great frame, but there aren’t many college hitters that make it after K’ing 20%+ of the time. This year Morales is “down” to a still scary 19.6 K%, and his ISO was .275 which is actually lower than the middle infield options like Shaw and Troy. I don’t see the risk to reward lining up for a guy who is likely to K near or above 30% in the pros.
Other guys who either K too much or just don’t hit enough: Brice Matthews, Jack Hurley, Maui Ahuna

Thank you CDJ, just curious what you tough, but I think the trade deadline I would feel more comfortable with one more bat. Not a jometun guy just a poor man’s Turner.
Also thank you I know your time is more valuable so you need to max it out. You need to proportion it evenly. I get it. I it made my day. The only thing that would make me more happier if I could get in that war room. That’s not going to happen. Unfortunately.

Kiley's actual quote was "I wouldn’t rule out [Chase] Dollander or [Hurston] Waldrep there, the two college guys that could be at that pick and make sense.", I wouldn't read much into it

I`d like to see a 5 tool HS prospect. I`m ignorant on who that might be. I`m not big on drafting pitchers early. Seems a good scouting department could find arms later in the draft.

According to a recent Athletic article, much more accurate. Bloom's influence is pretty much limited to selecting the person he trusts. Good leaders delegate.

I think at this point I would be happy with Shaw. Even more so if he were to sign for a little under slot. I could talk myself into most prospects at this point though. I’m pretty confident in the front office ability to draft after the last few years. I still think the dreamer in me wants were Eldridge since he’s 6’7 and has good contact ability given his size plus the power and an arm that would be just fine in RF one day. If they were to “reach” for someone in the first I could see it being someone like Bitonti or Wolkow given their age and profiles. Exciting day nonetheless!

Since this is Pearson's first draft. Does he try to make a splash by trying to outthink other teams (Yorke)? Or does he play it safer (Houck)?
