At the beginning of the inning, Plawecki caught a pitch middle and inside a few inches and then raised it like a foot and I was like what the hell kind of frame job was that
And then at the end of the inning, he caught two pitches at the exact same spot and didn't move the glove at all and stole two calls. Maybe I'm crazy, but I think he was setting up the ump with the exaggerated crappy frame job to start.

As a mood lightening aside: Anyone else feel targeted by MLB? I’ve seen the pubic hair commercial on mlb.tv so much I am starting to wonder if Red Sox fans have known grooming issues they are trying to politely hint at. (singing) “It’s time to care, for your pubic hair…” Well, after all the money we’ve presumably spent on Roman…. Lol, we’re just hairy gesticulating apes who are rock hard.

That is the best inning and a half in about a month. Everyone hitting ropes, and three really nice plays behind Winck. Solid!

5 groundballs, 1 flyball, 1 walk, 1 strikeout for the perfectly acceptable #5 starter so far.

Hosmer for minimum wage may be a bigger steal than Pivetta. He’s gunna have a hood year next year, I think.

The Orioles might add like $150 million in payroll this offseason. Can we get out of this division somehow When have the Orioles EVER spent money like that? Not buying it.

You can’t not put runs up against that man bun. What would Ty Cobb say.
On second thought… don’t answer that. This is a family site.

Getting some ROI for Benny.
175/.320/.275/.595 for NY.

I really feel like the xwOBA/BABIP type analyses fall apart when it comes to Xander. He just does what he wants with the ball. (As umassgrad, I think, was pointing out earlier.)

It may be physically impossible for Plawecki to ever get an infield hit.

It may be physically impossible for Plawecki to ever get an infield hit. Hypothetical question....could Plawecki beat the throw if he was the one throwing??

Literally everyone agrees that Josh Winckowski is a perfectly acceptable #5 starter at this point.
But what I'm wondering is...
Is Josh Winckowski a perfectly acceptable #4 starter?

Verdugo and Arroyo's facial hair and body types are too similar and I keep having trauma-induced flashacks now that Verdugo is playing in RF.

Don't know exactly where to post this, but Luis Torrens was dfa'd by the Mariners earlier tonight.
Has some offensive potential, average hitter last year but is struggling this year. Defense is below average, although I think he could be a solid replacement for Plawecki. Probably will be picked up by another team before the Sox, and I don't think they would want to shake up their catching tandem that much in the span of two weeks.
But just an interesting player I wanted to float out there.

Welp....what can you say? I think Cora should have gotten him out of there when he started to throw meatballs. Sad. I know the pen sucks, but the starters are really being hurt by this.

By all means Cora, don't even get the bullpen up after first and second no one out -_-
Winckowski has not had it all inning, but let's just pray to RNGesus we get out of the inning instead of doing something about it. Classic.
