That wasn't even a bad pitch. Keep throwing the fastball there please No but he started the batter off with three balls which limited his options for the rest of the at bat.

Tommy Pham is worse than Rob Refsnyder

Pham often looks the same in LF as Duran looks in CF. The main difference is that Pham actually runs after the ball after he flubs the catch.

Instead of Paxton, Hill and Wacha, the Sox should have just signed Gausman. He’s nasty.

I know I said I wouldn't harp on it and I don't wanna get in a back and forth and derail the thread but really refsnyder with his .6 WAR has impacted winning with his bat more than a guy with 3.9 WAR? I don't see that being the case and I find that an asinine statement.. It’s the 49 RBI’s this season. Xander has hit 3rd all year, but he hasn’t delivered. I don’t care what WAR says. That’s probably a function of overrating his defense(which has been fine). His offensive production has just been lacking. Story has 58 RBI’s and he’s barely played. A 130 WRC is certainly not lacking and I don't wanna get sucked in to a back and forth again so yes I'll agree 49 rbi outta the 3 hole in a top 10 scoring offense ain't good.

Tommy Pham is worse than Rob Refsnyder I don't know if people realize how good Pham was in his heyday. A 149 wRC+ in 2017, 130 in 2018, 123 in 2019.
But you see the trend, of course, and he's at 96 since the beginning of 2020. I'm not nearly as sold on Refsnyder as you are, but yeah, give me him as a fourth outfielder in 2023 and I'll pass on Pham.

NESN has by far the worst two people on the face of the earth calling this game. Listening to O'Brien and Massarotti is giving me flashbacks to my Catholic education. These two know even less than the nuns that schooled me..
I am honestly writing a letter to NESN as I type this. As a consumer, we deserve a lot better.

Listening to OB and Mazz whine and find the negative in everything is just awful. Can’t listen any more. Time for Joe Castig.

That’s all I wanted here. I was shocked to see Story still ahead of Xander in RBIs(and it might be September before Xander catches Story). He simply HAS to be more relevant than that.

Kiké looks pretty healthy to me How much to sign him for three more years They got him for 2 years/$14m the first time. I think he takes the same deal again. No need to guarantee a 3rd year, but an option would be fine.

Kutter had to have a bad outing eventually. Too bad.
Offense is much better with Kiké and Refsnyder and no JDM.

Kiké looks pretty healthy to me How much to sign him for three more years I'd like Kiké back again if the terms are similar to his original contract however I'd like him back in the role they presumably originally signed him for which is super utility guy. By all means play him 110 games or so a year but not as the every day cf. Maybe I'm crazy but I think that's his best role and the best role he can play for a team. I guess that would all be predicated on them acquiring an every day CF tho.

Amazing it only took Cora 4.5 months to flip Xander and Devers in the lineup. Attaboy Alex.

If Bloom dumped Dalbec earlier and got an OFer months ago, we're likely talking about which WC spot we're going to be. One thing I liked about Dombrowski is that he didn't wait when he saw a need.
