Watching David Copperfield with my wife. Just checking in now then to not be surprised they are losing. I'm in a virtual first time home buyers course. It's infinitely more exciting than the Sox right now.

What sort of tanking is this? Boring tanking? Tanking while pretending not to? Not tanking just bad?

What sort of tanking is this? Boring tanking? Tanking while pretending not to? Not tanking just bad? Maybe Bloom is a real genius and saw his best chance of tanking is to keep this team intact, but had to give them something gut punching (trading Vazquez). Playing the big 3 has paid dividends in losing.

FRANCHY IS THE BEST HOME RUN HITTER ON THIS TEAM BESIDES DEVERS.

Yes I'm sure Xander is really struggling right now because he's been pouting the last few months and decided to pack it in... or maybe baseball is just really freaking hard and even the best players go through struggles. And yes I understand it's been going for a month+ now and that is a long slump but I'm sorry I won't attribute it to the fact he's upset at the deadline. Baseball is absolutely really hard. It’s also one of the most MENTALLY demanding sports you can play. Xander hasn’t been right mentally for a while. I think this is a big piece of it. We’ve all been watching him for 10 years. Has he EVER looked this bad? I can’t remember a time that he did. Even as a rookie he wasn’t struggling like this. Maybe the weight of playing for a new contract is part of the mental side. It’s not like he wants to suck. But I think a lot of it is in his head one way, or another.

JD may not hit another homer this year.

Big tech now censoring the Red Sox from the masses. Typical.
Probably for the best, as well.

It doesn’t matter how many the Sox lose. They won’t catch the bottom feeders there really bad. We will be stuck in the middle 15, 14.

Watching the Dodgers instead. Mookie just hit homer #28. His career high is only 32.

Meanwhile, LAA is able to take a 7-0 lead against the Jays.

I’ll say this: Franchy is lousy, but he seems like a really sweet guy. I hope he can hang on… maybe elsewhere, but I hope he can make some dough.

Clearly, Plawecki heard my peon a** talking about his imminent DFA and got scared. 3-3 for Plawecki is possibly a sign of divine intervention, if there is such a thing.

I'd lament that the board is dead during a competitive game, but totally understand how last night could have broken even the most ardent of Sox fans... I'm still confident we lose in 10.

Well....the team is waking up all over!
First two episodes of David Copperfield watched, wife gone to bed, I am back and listening to Joe C and the crew on the radio.
Reverse jinxes working everywhere - Plawecki, Kiké, JD, Xander!

Screw Bogaerts haters, man. Guy bleeds Sox, er, red? If he’s not back, Bloom can win a full fist of rings and I won’t care.
