Why did Whitlock only pitch 5 innings with only 81 pitches thrown? Really would have liked 6.

THIS is when you use the Joely. 4 run lead - try to get his confidence back. They can’t just stone him in the town square - he’s going to get chances until he proves to be an Ort-ian level disaster. Hopefully it’s not another implosion here…

I know it was a joke but I keep thinking Yoshida for Robbie Ray might make sense at the deadline if we are thinking long term, fit and need? Opens the DH spot up, one less year on the books for Ray, possibly a number 2ish starter for 2025 and 2026? Want this win to stay on track here Agree with you and cdj.

As good as the Mariners' starters are, the Sox' group has matched them just about step for step. That has to be the takeaway so far. My takeaway is they’re gonna have to make Bailey manager next year so another team doesn’t poach and do it first Absolutely agree on Bailey as manager! I am sure he will be lightyears ahead on bullpen management as well!

Defense is so improved this year even when we don't have all our best defenders in. Even Valdez looks much better than last year.

8 pitches, 4 outs for Slaten. Bring him back out for the 9th. Considering that we are not off until Thursday, I agree.

Hopefully it’s not another implosion here… Way he has looked this series and 2 games in ST? 14r lead maybe not safe. Didn't Slaten look good for his 1 1/3. everything is hard and really moves. noticed that cpl times saw him this spring. must be some warts to him, or he would have been protected and not available virtually free.

I mean a series split against a west coast playoff team with a great rotation while your best hitter misses 2 games and your closer isn’t available for 2 games is considered a win right?
