Great start by Kutter. It's too bad the offense hasn't shown up yet. I'd have let Kutter face the last batter to try and get him the win. He pitched 5.2 innings Right. But they were scoreless. There's no chance of Kutter to get a win after he was pulled. He threw 92 pitches. I would have let him face the last pitcher and see if the offense could put up a run.

Had they had the lead, he’d probably let him air it out.

Do we think pitchers even care about getting Wins any more? It's irrelevant to their pay.

Interesting, I hadn't noticed that. Do we have a reason to think that's not a SSS thing? He's throwing the 4-seamer quite a bit less, so it seems to follow. I don't have batted ball profiles by pitch type handy, though, so correlation/causation etc. Not just the 4-Seam, he's also halved his CB rates. Slider (Sweeper) rate up from 13->36%, Curve from 12->6%. But yes, I can't find Fly Ball rates for individual pitches, closest I see is Savant has Launch Angle baseballsavant.mlb.com/savant-player/kutter-crawford-676710?stats=statcast-r-pitching-mlb - his Sweeper has seen a drop from 25 to 11 coming in to today, idk if that's a sign it'll normalize back up or he's throwing it a little differently (and to more Lefties). Most noticeable thing that jumps off the page over there is that guys just are topping more pitches and just aren't barreling him up at all so far. (But that's like 1 Barrel vs 3-4 if he had last year's rates, could easily be SSS). Certainly passing the eye test!

Ump immediately costs us 2 runs in a 0-0 game. Classic.

Ump immediately costs us 2 runs in a 0-0 game. Classic. Really hate to see missed calls turn into runs. Doesn't excuse the HR because he still has to make the pitch, but if the right call was made. Inning over. Oh and now two guys get hurt over the missed call. Great.

You could make the argument this is the umpires fault and if we had robots this doesn’t happen

Can’t watch cause of work, see there was a CLE homer to put them ahead, but… don’t care.
KUTTER. Pay that man.

What happened on the collision? Just on gameday Looked like the back of Devers head hit O’Neil in the face. I’d think both need to be tested for concussions and O’Neill was bleeding so tbd there

What happened on the collision? Just on gameday 3 players tracking a popup in that triangle between SS-3B-LF, I think O'Neill might've broke his nose as he banged his face against Raffy's back of the head.

I think TON’s sunglasses are what cut him but it’s hard to tell. They both walked off under their own power too
