With Pena's activation from his 50 game suspension, a move will need to be made at Salem.

Not for nothing the Sox could easily purge 10 guys today if they want to.

Not for nothing the Sox could easily purge 10 guys today if they want to. I would expect a number of such moves in the next week, with the beginning of short-season ball.

And if he is in the lineup today he gets to play against a major leaguer in Ricky Romero albeit he is not doing well at this point

Who is currently the youngest player in any AAA league?

Who is currently the youngest player in any AAA league? Bogaerts is now, but it was Carlos Sanchez (White Sox SS prospect). Never mind me, I thought you were asking about just the IL. Edit: Okay, so it appears that it is, in fact, Bogaerts (10/01/92) with the next youngest being Oscar Taveras (6/19/92); Profar (2/20/93) would have been had he not been promoted.

Who is currently the youngest player in any AAA league? They must be counting Profar even though is up in MLB now?

Thanks guys! I couldn't think of one myself. Profar looks like he's 15, nevermind 20.

A) Rain in the forecast for Pawtucket. Don't get your hopes up.
B) Bogaerts is indeed the youngest player in Triple-A. In the Majors, Harper's got him by about 15 days, and Profar is about four months younger. Also, Dylan Bundy is younger, but he's not doing much of anything right now. He was the third-youngest player in Double-A following the Sano promotion.

I think we should have a new nickname for Ranaudo....the Hammer! For his hammer curveball.
