Hey look, Lester can't find the strike zone. I can't decide if he's lost his control or he's afraid of throwing strike and hitting bats.

Hey look, Lester can't find the strike zone. I can't decide if he's lost his control or he's afraid of throwing strike and hitting bats. Come on man, I know he's been bad, but one walk? He's got 23 pitches through 2. Shoot, fire, aim.

Sorry, that was all hyperbole. I've been trying to defend Lester through this for the most part, though his stares at the umps remain frustrating.
ADDED: I have always thought Wang was a fraud propped up by unsustainable BBIP #s,

Is it just me or did Reyes have time to make that throw on Iglesias?

The baseball Gods have paid Drew back. He got robbed of a HR the other day, today he gets a gift 2b.
If the SS has to take more than 2 steps to his right Iggy gets a hit.

As good as Ellsbury has been recently, imagine where we would be with version 2011? With Iglesias getting on base at a .450 pace in front of him.

This is huge that we're getting into the Jay's bullpen in the second inning of the first game of a four game series. Really good sign for the other three games.

Hey, you've got to admit that guidas is the straw that stirs the drink.
Where have I heard that before?
Oh yeah.
I like enthusiasm and a freaking opinion. Personally, I'd like more of it.

Time to stomp on the Jays like a bug. And to me, I think the Yanks may actually end up in last place this year, but we all know they will buy the store at the break.

First base excepted (who cares), this infield can seriously pick it. I'd rather have Drew at third base, but whatever.

So, everyone who believes that relievers should be used "correctly", you'll want to make a note of what just went down. Tazawa, arguably the best reliever they have, was put into a very high leverage situation. And while he didn't escape unscathed, that was probably one of the better outcomes you could expect.

Agrreed.
Speaking of proper use of relievers, if you've not seen the "Real Sports" piece on Steve Delabar, who is currently pitching, well worth the 20 mins of your life. Not only a great story but a very intriguing piece with about his rehab with the controversial Tom House.

Tim Britton is saying jammed right hip. Farrell giving the nothing major speech.
Looked like exactly that, or a cramp when it happened. Just kind of a twinge when his right foot hit the ground in his follow through. Hopefully it's gone by Saturday.

They said on the telecast it looked like the trainer was pointing to his hip, and it clearly wasn't an arm injury for what its worth. I missed Farrel's post game interview, so I don't know if he said anything

Credit to the Red Sox. While I'd rather just scrap the closer thing entirely, within the framework of things that are realistically going to happen, they've put these guys in the right rolls.
