I don’t like playing the race card but young, little white dude that’s never played high level basketball is going to have a tough time in this area. Why a guy like Ime was a necessary hire. Agreed and I mean look at Brad. He couldn't fight a squirrel. Now Ime looks like a badass and he played some hard nosed game. If he tells you to do something, you BETTER do it.

This is kind of an insane amount of hard hit balls in a 6-2 game. Schwarber's HR was one of the purest hits I saw this season. It came out of his bat like it would do some Looney Tunes stuff and go around the globe before it landed. It was like a perfect haymaker that lands square in the chin. I'm surprised the ev wasn't higher, it felt like an absolute BOMB in action.

Gettable, but Tampa is a REALLY good team. Need some good turns from the rotation to set up the Houck, ROBLENATOR and Whitlock death row. Play mistake free on defense and never bat without a plan. It's tough because they're an extremely well oiled machine with plenty of ridiculous talent everywhere.
That said, since we're here, might as well beat them.

Udoka: "Let me bitch at the refs. You guys play through plays and move on to the next thing and let me be the guy who complains to the ref. That's not the team we want to be and that's not who I am. I don't want the team to start crying about every call." If he can get Tatum to stop complaining then he needs to be in the HOF immediately. Good. One of the things Brad never quite got under control was Tatum raising his arms and being slow on transition because the refs didn't call a foul. I don't quite have a problem with guys complaining to the refs IF the play stops. If it's still going and the other team is storming the court, shut the f*ck up and get back to defense. Complain on the next possession if you have to.

Not sure it was fair of Boone to imply the rest of the division has backed up to the MFY. "Don't fire me please" kind of quote. It is coming Boone, fighting it only makes it more embarrassing.

I really love having Al back. Guy appreciates what it means to play for our city. I appreciate you too Al! The defense came back when he came back I always had a love/hate relationship with Al. I absolutely LOVE his game when he is on, but he's prone to go MIA for long stretches in a way I find quite frustrating. That being said, the Celtics played some absolutely beautiful offense when it ran through him and I hope to see a lot of that for the next season.

They said this was the fifth elimination game between them 1979 2003 2004 2021 what was the other ? 1949, technically. Last game of the season and the winning team would have finished 1st.

A few months back I said something that has kind of haunted me, since the Yankees went on a crazy run and we looked kinda shaky for a moment there. So let me say it again to give myself some peace of mind:
BEATING THIS SHIT TEAM DOESN'T COUNT, LET'S WAIT AND SEE HOW THEY FARE AGAINST A GOOD TEAM!!

They over achieved and then under achieved to balance out what was the expectation. I personally had them at about 93 wins before the season started. They held on to dear life for that WC 1 and were fortunate to have had Tampa Bay taking care of business. Red Sox were fortunate enough to escape 2 of the 3 games they swept against a Nationals team with nothing to play for. They limped in for months and showed no real hope for possible advancement. The team isn't overly young either, but they do have some young guys (Houck, Whitlock, maybe Dalbec) that showed they could be counted on in the future. At no point during the season did they ever under-achieve. What Tampa did or didn't do had no effect whatsoever in the Red Sox fortune, they would have won 92 games to make the playoffs no matter what. Sure the game could have been on NY, then again, the fact that Tampa won 100 games makes it highly unlikely the Yankees could have won the series hands down. This is a very negative stance to have on what was supposed to be a rebuild year. Good for you for guessing 93 wins, a lot of folks didn't see it that way. We should be happy they're here, not go BUT BUT BUT on every detail. Don't overthink it, 20 teams didn't make it and we did! That by itself is a feat considering the circumstances.

With that said, win this ONE GAME, and the entire season is a complete success. The season is already a complete success regardless of what happens tomorrow.

I guess he knew what he was doing putting Richards in... Depleted pen. His team won 92 games with Richards and Perez combining for 250 innings.

Let's end this in 9 too, I don't want to see this board discuss starting men on 2nd in a do-or-die game. Seriously people here need some hugs and therapy.
