Mostly was watching the national Championship but was watching for the tying goal. Everything about that play was awesome.

They seemed allergic to the puck for like the first half of the game. Passing it directly to the Pens or just dumping it where no B's could get to it.
Great comeback. Shame they don't get a point out of it.

They seriously need to be asking the league if there it some league mandate to screw the Bruins.
I am not a whine about the refs guy generally, but this is getting so out of hand.
Can we juts plaster Gs when they leave the blue from now on? Probably only if it's done to us is it okay.

Excellent game last night.
Hope it's true that McAvoy avoided serious injury.. Don't mind at all if he misses today, as long as it isn't significant time.

Then why did the Braves sour on him and trade him for 1 year of Chris Sale? Either the scouting reports are wrong or a regression is coming. The Braves are broke, need a pitcher, and Grissom was blocked Also, teams with legit shots at championships trading for one year rentals has obviously a different value than other teams. Us trading for a guy with one year of control doesn't carry a lot of value, for obvious reasons. But on a team like Atlanta, which is one of the top 2 favorites for the WS next year, of course it's a completely different rationale.

Doesn't seem like a great deal on value, moving 10.5 mil of his salary for a player like Grissom.
Still, I am glad Sale is gone. Was so sick of him.

Very good win. Loved seeing Lohrei get another and Geekie get rewarded for hustling around the dirty area It was a strong game from Lohrei even if you ignore the goal. Which you shouldn't, because he did several good things in a row to make it happen. Only real downside to the game is that I really wanted Marchand to score after all the BS he went through. Would have been nice to get a shutout for Swayman but he got lucky earlier anyway on the play McCoy bailed him out on. Best game they've played in a while, though.

Another horrible call.
These announcers are just killing themselves to justify all the garbage.

Great. Bad call so we'll give you another two for arguing about it. Gotta love refs.

Not sure that's where our money should go, though. Unless you deal Lindholm, which I'd be okay with. I actually was thinking I'd offer Coyle and Lindholm for Hanifin, Elias Lindholm and decent draft picks, if those two indicated they'd sign now contracts with us. It'd be worth it for them, because those are two FAs who won't re-sign and leave for nothing. Meanwhile, it gives us a #1C and recoups some of our picks (maybe the two 2s). While not taking a whole lot of our cap space for next year. Hanifin is 3 years younger than Hampus and I'm not very high on H. Lindholm thesis days. I don't think there is much chance they do something near that radical during the season. Hampus has a full NTC for another 3 years and he seems to like it here. Calgary is usually on every player with a partial NTC list because they don’t wanna live there Hampus is not what he was last season but honestly he’s still probably worth his money. Guys not providing a ton offensively so far and he takes too many minors but he’s a horse for them. Would be nice for him to get back to last season’s form, he was a legit Norris candidate. This is more than likely what he is going forward, maybe with a little more offensive production I was hoping he would forget to leave Calgary off his 15 team list, or would accept a trade if they threw him a few million extra. The way he gives out NTCs is one of Sweeney's worst traits. The fact that guys like Forbore and Lucic even got them is beyond ridiculous.

Renaud Lavoie reporting that teams are shying away from trading for Noah Hanifin because they know he wants to go home to Boston in free agency. That’s p neat, he’s a very good player “The thing with Hanifin is, he’s been on the market, if I’m not mistaken, for the last two years. But the problem is, everyone knows that he wants to play for the (Boston) Bruins. So, no one’s ready to make that move, because that connection with the Bruins is there. It kind of handcuffs everyone, because they all know that at one point he’ll sign with (Boston). So, it’s a tricky situation for him.” Not sure that's where our money should go, though. Unless you deal Lindholm, which I'd be okay with. I actually was thinking I'd offer Coyle and Lindholm for Hanifin, Elias Lindholm and decent draft picks, if those two indicated they'd sign now contracts with us. I think we're starting to see the team we are. That hot start was surprising. I think they're finding their level.
Meanwhile, perfect example of why NHL officiating is so horrible. Two early penalties on Minnesota, each of them obvious and non-controversial. Then, Marchand with a great scoring opportunity and is clearly tripped, right in front of the refs. They just decide they don't want to call the first three penalties on one team, so they swallow the whistle. No other sort does this- just deciding not to calll an obvious penalty to be "fair"
Meanwhile, apart from the 5 minutes for the fight, the penalties end up 10-4 for them. Guess once they had called c couple on each team, "fairness' isn't so important.
Stupid league.

Kicking motion saved an early goal that would have been mostly on DeBrusk too.

What do we have that they would want? The team isn't really loaded with major talent. Devers, Casas, Bello. rest wouldn't even crack the Dodgers roster. Yeah, being a bit over the top, but you get the picture. we just don't have many pieces with much value in trade. That's irrelevant to what the Dodgers would be looking at as they need to clear a spot on their 40 man roster now, they in turn wouldn't want back anyone who would have to be added to their 40 man. They'd probably be okay with a lotto ticket in low A in a theoretical deal to clear a spot. Unless you offered them a player for two of those guys. I have no idea who that would be or anything, just saying.

This franchise needs another Manny moment. I don't know how to convey how truly hope inducing it was when the Duke blew away expectations and gave that deal to Manny. Truly franchise altering. So we frankly have no choice other than to sign Soto next year. Not as franchise altering as the Pedro trade/signing, imo. For what that's worth.

There was a point a couple of decades ago where it seemed like he way the Yankees were spending was making a bit of a mockery of the sport.
The Dodgers lately seem way worse.

Lotta criticism today for DeBrusk in OT.
Missed the net with a couple of shots, but I think the thing that really sticks is how he took a lazy wide turn after that last one and therefore was way out of the play on the break that eded up the game-winner.
Not a great look.

that was absolutely putrid officiating. Someone in the league office should be docking the pay of those clowns. Well, if you listen to Ranger fans online, the only questionable call was the Frederic goal. You know, the one they showed 100 replays of and no one could see Freddy doing anything to the G. They should have reversed that anyway. Rangers got hosed. Meanwhile, the two high stick calls that were both the Rangers doing it to themselves? Legit B's penalties. The blatant flop after Carlo brushed a Ranger? Great call. Marchand being tripped in front of the refs and them not calling it? Nothing to see there. Again 25-8 in PM minus the fight and the review. But the Rangers were the ones who got screwed last night. Now you know.

Total screw job. Swayman deserved so much better.
And Gryz skates away from puck to lose possession and then leaves a guy open in front of net for winner.

Screw these rwfs. The is absolutely pathetic!
The second time tonight they have lifted a Bruins's tick to get a high stick call. Flopped for the PP to tie it.
Blatant trip of Marchand should have given us a 5 on 3, they refused to call it.
Penalty minutes 30-15. 5 of those on NY a for a fight, 2 for a bad challenge.
Without those two things it's 25-8.
Ridiculous.
