There have been some questionable calls in some of those blown leads in the regular season and it seemed to usually happen on the road. One of them I remember was against the Pacers where they called a foul on a play the Celtics were about to score then retracted the foul, then they did the same thing on the other end but in reverse and the Pacers won because of it. I know its not a popular opinion with serious sports fans but it happened again last night even though we won. The Celtics were getting mauled in that run where they put the game away and there were some pretty bad non calls. They also called a random offensive foul on Tatum at one point I think in the 3rd. Great win but completely agreed. Cavs kept hooking Tatum on drives uncalled. The one play Jaylen finished through Strus completely mauling him to no call was ludicrous. At the same time they just call less in general in the playoffs. Sometimes Tatum pushes off and doesn't get called either.

Games like this and game 2 against Miami really make it hard to see a win over the Timberwolves who I'm picking to win the Western conference now. Tatum has been fine, but I want to see an MVP-caliber string of games. Not someone who can set a few picks and make a few shots. He's going to be the highest paid player in the NBA. Is it too much to ask for a 40 point night at some point? Again, not saying he's been bad, but he hasn't looked like one of the best players in the postseason. They just still seem like they are in regular season mode and coasting. I think this series goes to 6 then we have a battle of a series against the Knicks before the real test in Minnesota.

Yep. Would've been Celtics in 5 with Porzingis.

Next series gets a lot more interesting given Orlando and Clevelands size without KP.
For now though, great win!

Heat Culture is injuring ppl on purpose and emptying the arena before the clock hits zeros There’s a 3-minute Bam montage of him injuring Knicks players. He’s always been super dirty and never gets called out for it. He absolutely should be suspended Game 5 for that nonsense. Dude is notorious for bs. Then has the audacity to whine about being given a flagrant one, give me an effing break dude.

Bam should have been disqualified, he did a flat out dirty play to injure Tatum. He does dirty plays constantly too. Just gross. If I had to hear Stan Van Gundy ramble one more time about how it was Tatum's fault - just ridiculous amount of hate for no reason.

This is not on Mazzulla - its an embarrassing defensive and all-around effort from this group at home against a group of ragtags.

I really need Jrue to have the self confidence to shoot that. Regardless great end to the half.

The offense is moving in slow motion right now. They need to get into their actions faster, swing the ball, and then go downhill. Miami has zero size to contest when they do that. Agreed. When we play with pace and get into actions quickly, we force mismatches and destroy Miami.

I’m not usually one to complain about officiating, but it’s absolutely insane what Bam is allowed to get away with out there. Guy is playing football Miami has subscribed to the Seattle Seahawks legion of boom mentality for years under Spo - push the limits of physicality and "legal" maneuvers so far that it becomes untenable for the game to continue if each illegal movement is called. It's really just gross. No excuses for losing the game right now or series in the past - simply calling a spade a spade.

Honestly I don't think it would be a terrible idea in those situations to give guys like Brissett and Hauser with fresh legs run. Its obvious when they are gassed and mentally checked out and this is a thing with them.
I understand them taking the foot off the gas but IF you know they are going to do it, something needs to change faster.

That's exactly what we need. Tatum doubled, gives it up, swing it around, high percentage open 3 attempt. Take what they give us.

We are getting WAY too trigger happy from 3. Also, where is Jaylen after starting en fuego?
Good first quarter but I need Horford and Tatum to make better more calm decisions given their experience.

We are going to annihilate the Heat. I have no doubts. Really hope Jimmy can play but it's looking doubtful.

Tatum is still so confusingly inconsistent. I think we would take the Nuggets in 7 but it would be a hell of a series.

Nothing really substantial to add, but man what a beautiful, perfect trade it was to get KP. The man is just so perfect for the role Boston has given him. He's arguably the best trade any Boston team has made in the last decade. IMO only thing that can keep us from a championship this season is something going wrong with Porzingis lower body.

Gotta say I am liking the focus of this team much better than the teams of past. They show up, run their sets aggressively, and put teams away that they should.

Whole team kinda choked at the end, looked exhausted, it happens. Fun game overall taking out the last 4 mins, at least we battled on defense and matched their physicality.
Jrue has been worse on offense overall than I thought he would be.

With Shai at an MVP level the Thunder are legitimate championship contenders. Can't wait to see them again.
