Tazawa needs to be sent to the glue factory.
Our pen is Workman, Koji, and add De La Rosa and Webster

I know his numbers are still good, but I'm pretty over Tazawa. Entering tonight, he had an era under 2 since the trade deadline.

People are seriously blaming Farrell instead of blaming both Tazawa and Thornton? Who should he have used? Bogaerts? It's Bogaerts it's always Bogaerts.

People are seriously blaming Farrell instead of blaming both Tazawa and Thornton? Who should he have used? Bogaerts? Breslow. You have a game in hand in the 7th you WIN it. You don't dick around. You can dick around in the 4th game when you've won 3. Farrell didn't learn this lesson the last time these two teams played. Now you get this little ferret and the 41 year old PED* user in the 9th. *And anyone who refutes this, I say any player remaining that good that late in his career in this decade is beating a test. Period. And fuck all those bandwagon assholes in New York, too. I hope they all have burning diarrhea all the way home.

You guys are silly dilly. He can't use the same guys as you suggest game after game. There a number of game still left. Tough crowd. Let's face it. There are some weak inks in that pen.

Games over. Fuck Farrell and anyone who tries to defend his stupidity. I'd shudder to think what this thread would be like if the Red Sox had a realistic shot of losing the division.

You can dick around in the 4th game when you've won 3. What? Junichi Tazawa is the setup reliever, so he went with him. Saying you should have gone with Breslow is really hindsight. Thornton, on the other hand, shouldn't be used ever again regardless of the situation. But you gotta learn that somehow, better now than in the post-season.

I understand hero worship and it’s easy to lay the blame on the Manager but the inability of a Major League Catcher-Third Baseman tandem to throw, catch and tag on the Wells stolen base and the inability to turn a pretty routine DP did not help

This is too funny watching Breslow right now. Maybe he's a better option than Thorton next time Farrell.

I was saying Breslow over Thornton. Even in hindsight, that wasn't a terrible decision. Yeah, there were runners at first and second, but with a five run lead, you shouldn't necessarily have to go to your best left-handed reliever. Besides, it's better that Farrell realizes that Thornton is a terrible reliever now rather than realizing that fact during the playoffs.
