People are seriously blaming Farrell instead of blaming both Tazawa and Thornton? Who should he have used? Bogaerts? Breslow. You have a game in hand in the 7th you WIN it. You don't dick around. You can dick around in the 4th game when you've won 3. Farrell didn't learn this lesson the last time these two teams played. Now you get this little ferret and the 41 year old PED* user in the 9th. *And anyone who refutes this, I say any player remaining that good that late in his career in this decade is beating a test. Period. And fuck all those bandwagon assholes in New York, too. I hope they all have burning diarrhea all the way home. This makes zero sense. All the games count the same. As far as the PED thing goes, I guess it applies to Uehara and Ortiz too, right?

Besides, it's better that Farrell realizes that Thornton is a terrible reliever now rather than realizing that fact during the playoffs. My point exactly. This sucks, but better now than in the playoffs. If Farrell uses Thornton in the same situation in a more meaningful game, I'll get the outrage even if the outcome isn't as bad as this. Other than that, it's just monday morning QBing.

That and stop starting napoli against lefties. Then farrell just leaves a situational lefty in there against righties. So damn stupid. This is one of the worst manages games ive seen in a long time.

Also, I love that the two most maligned hitters in the lineup in recent weeks manufactured that run. Suck on that, haters.

Thank god Girardi has no clue on how to use his bullpen too.

I have to admit, I missed having a useful pinch runner. Berry could end up being an underrated acquisition.

You are the guy that said Drew shouldn't play, and even said stuff about 'pink jersey' right? After that and your comment on Napoli, I'm just gonna stay quiet and bask at your all around awesome notion of managing a baseball team.

Thank god Girardi has no clue on how to use his bullpen too. Wait, what did he do wrong? Should he have not used the best closer of all time to close out a one-run game? Brought in a lefty to face Drew?

I don't know if you have trouble reading or what buddy but I've been very clear about the lefty-lefty part. Lefties HAVE killed him this game. Then he gets the hit against the righty. If anything that vindicates what i said. Napoli struggles against righties in comparison to Carp. He is not a bad hitter. I don't know why you're not getting it and assuming I think these guys are bad players. This extends to pitchers as well. Take advantage of the lefty/righty match ups. Now go back and read that last paragraph again.... Pretty straightforward and well supported argument.

Soriano does not appear to be the equal of the great Q Berry.

Soriano does not appear to be the equal of the great Q Berry. They must not have got the memo that Lavarnway wasn't behind the plate anymore. That being said Boston may be the worst "rundown" team in the league, always seems an adventure.

For example, I disagree with Joba's appearance, attitude and comportment on the mound, but I hate everything else about him.

If we win, scoring that run against Joba The Hutt is the new highlight of the season for me.

So Farrell has Uehara in the bottom of the 10th with a lead, plan executed to perfection
