Well, the CBA's Joint Drug Agreement provides collectively-bargained procedural rules about the timeline of an appeal. You can see the details here (p. 34 of the pdf) or just read a summary and update here, but suffice it to say that given the important of the hearing, both sides will want to make sure that all their ducks are in a row and that takes a lot of time (and money, for that matter). As guidas alludes to above, given the complexity of this case (namely, the lack of a positive test) and its importance public opinion-wise, I'd almost prefer a slow, thorough review as opposed to a lightning-fast kangaroo court.

Right, and offensive levels have never varied at any other point in baseball's history for any reason. Nor has any pitcher ever used steroids. QED. God, I hate this argument. So, HR records were set because of changes in technique? Ok. Babe Ruth got to play when the league was only white players. Where's the asterisk next to his name?

If the Red Sox win the World Series, I'm gonna get a framed poster of that. Amazing. Seconded

Like to see a lot of beard pulling this series and no Mo, except to give him his retirement present.

Kuroda has really struggled lately. He's now given up 4+ runs in four of his last five starts. Let's see whether Lackey pitches better with run support this time around.

Watching Victorino walk around reminds me of Mickey Rivers

Victorino is in pain. He should've had Cano's hit and decelerating after that catch hurt him.
That and the Sox should have 6 or more runs right now.

Does it seem that Victorino must run hard for his outs, while those in the direction of CF go straight to JBJ

Obviously love Dustin but I would take Cano on my team

May sound crazy to say but it almost makes you think he isnt hurt, or has something going on that in no way could get any worse. Not seeing an upside to having him in the line-up right now otherwise.

You can't give up hits to Brendan Ryan and Chris Stewart. Pretty simple stuff.
The Sox have given up like 7 AB's against Kuroda since the 3rd inning.

LOL. That's 100% on Lackey. Not being able to get Chris Stewart AND Brendan Ryan out is one of the hardest things to do in baseball. Really miserable stuff from him the last two outings against NY. He's cementing his spot as a playoff reliever.

A bunch of lineouts and deep fly balls that are caught at the wall, or the Red Sox might have ten runs.

Game over. What a pitiful performance. Really? Even with two baserunners, it's a tied game at home in the 7th.
