Rays outfielders: struggling with defense. Red Sox left side of the infield: Xander who?Ehhhh.... I'm still not really backing down on this one. Good on Drew for busting his ass down the line, but that was one lucky hit. And to be clear, I love me some Stephan Drew. I'm the one who'd give him a three year deal and move Middlebrooks. But of his many virtues, hitting lefties is absolutely not one of them.

Hey, aren't Joe Maddon teams supposed to be good at defense?

Guys, I don't know what all the fuss is about. Drew is batting .500 against Moore.

Hellickson pitching game 4, Archer warming. Moore has to be pushing 100 pitches at this point. Came into the inning at 53.

Moore has thrown maybe five breaking pitches all game. Red Sox hitters are now sitting on the fastball.

Let's not forget the Rays bats who had Jon Lester on a rope before making 2 outs on 2 pitches.

23 strikes, 6 balls for Moore this inning. /giggles I assume that Moore will be pulled. It will be good to get into the Rays' pen early. Lester needs a shut down inning now.

Somewhere, Don Orsillo is sitting in his boxers in his living room, saying to anyone who will listen, "Jon Lester has had a long wait this half inning."

Lester has gotten behind both batters this half-inning. He needs to stay sharp.

The camera work by TBS in these baseball games is just pitiful. MLB.com was better with the ancient Jimmy Kaat today in Pirates-Cardinals game and Kitty Kaat is near 80. TBS hasn't had a good announcer in the booth since Ernie Johnson retired and Skip Sr. retired. That entire network is shot out.

Love the way this team just keeps grinding. Great hustle on the bases by Drew and Gomes.
Lester gets them off the field with 11 pitches. well done.
Congrats to the Pirates getting a win in St. Louis.

No way we can score off of Moore in this game. The series is over.
(I'm behind on my DVR, having slept late.)
Seriously, there needs to be a long German word meaning "taking retroactive delight in the unwarranted pessimism of your peers."
