It's close already, but time to put this thing out of reach ... let's get some runs, Shane.

My thoughts exactly Ray. Here is to a (hopeful) Bucco-Sox WS eventually. I only caught an inning but Cole's stuff looked insane, though as always the final line wasn't as impressive. Still a very good outing against a Cardinals team that lead the NL in runs scored by a wide margin. 6 innings giving up only 2 hits and a walk with 5 k's against one of the best offenses in mlb isn't impressive?

I saw a little bit too...That 2-seamer to Beltran reminded me of Josh Beckett in the 2007 play-offs. Thank god his parents are rich and they didn't need the Yankees' money.

AS impressive. It's a very good outing but maybe less than you expect when a guy is painting the corners with 98 mph two-seamers.

Archer looked either totally disinterested or stoned coming off the mound.

That Wil Myers replay still cracks me up. His reaction is just so fantastic. He should go into comedy when his playing days are over.

I dunno ... I'm pretty glad Hellickson's starting Game 4 and not Archer. #MaddonGenius

I blame the long layoff for not having 10+ runs right now, the bats are clearly compromised.

This TBS camerawork is really awful, even on routine plays. Grounder to short, and the camera cuts a beat late, doesn't track the ball well, and shakes a couple times for good measure.

Who was the guy in the TBS truck who was like "okay for a solid minute let's get a shot of these kids and their fake beards".

So Archer came in for just 1.1 innings in a blowout? And now they have to burn Torres (1.71 ERA, 2.32 FIP) for two innings? Am I missing something?

Speaking of weird pitcher usage, I'm not really into Lester continuing to pitch here. Bring in the mop-up crew already.
Right on cue, they cut to the bullpen and it's... Tazawa. Ummm....

Eh, with two runners on base already and all these off-days, I don't mind bringing in Tazawa. Plus, he's been off for pretty much a week, he can pitch two games in a row.
