Napoli got very hittable fastballs 2-0 and 2-1. Walks are great (Napoli ends up walking), and Sanchez's pitch count is building, but we need to swing the bat to score runs.

Nothing positive for us just yet, but this is one hell of a baseball game.

Not sure those moves made sense
Edit- You are getting owned like a Little League team facing the "big kid" in the league striking out 14 times with no hits after 7 dont blame the Ump for any close calls. This is pretty pathetic at this point.

Breslow coming in with Cabrera looming? That scares me, even if he is hurt.

(1) Joe West has made some bad calls tonight.
(2) Saltalamacchis is now 3/11 with 8 Ks in the postseason.

When deciding how valuable he this offseason, let's not forget for a second that he had a .372 BABIP this year combined with his typical 30% K-rate. Also, that Ellsbury call was bad. Don't listen to Gameday.

So comforting that MLB lets steroid users play in the post season in the year of their suspension.

So comforting that MLB lets steroid users play in the post season in the year of their suspension. Eh. It really sucks when the player comes back as the best offensive contributor on the tea; but, he was handed a suspension for a finite number of games, and he served it. Do you think MLB should impose a new rule where any PED offender is automatically barred from participation in that season's playoffs?

I do, on the theory that the beneficial effects of those substances does on "wear off" in 50 or 60 days.

I'd be more pissed at the Red Sox head-shaking and jawing about calls if it weren't Joe West back there. Not sure how the umps rotate in ALCS- would he be in for game 7 if it goes that far?

I blame the Red Sox. West has had a handful of questionable calls but only one or two that were truly awful , at least per the BB maps. Less complaining, more hitting please.

So Napoli, Nava, Drew(maybe Gomes for Nava or Drew) in the ninth, we are going to be no-hit with 19k's in a LCS..That goes beyond its ony one game one loss
