There are so many "what if's" and guys that arguably could be blamed. The bottom line is, the tigers won game 1 fair and square. It was a great game. The sox will get them in game 2.
anyone here remember the 2004 or 2007 ALCS? Have some faith. Its nowhere close to being over

Ok non-sarcastic comment over here.
Tough loss specially since they couldn't hit basically. But The Red Sox have been in worst situations before and come out of it on top and this group of guys have shown us many times this season that they are not going down easily. Lets see what happens tomorrow, preferably to get a hit early.

That game was painful, but also terrific. Hell, imagine if we won getting outhit 9 to 2 and K'ing 17 times?
I'll be there tomorrow - was pumped to see Buch get the #2 slot. Should be a fantastic duel, but our offense needs to reevaluate their approach as the games get into the later innings and we're lacking runs. Also, Farrell, do you dare start Napoli tomorrow?

Baseball is a game of averages, we have a ton of hits coming our way, hopefully that will be as soon as tomorrow.

$5 Says Ellsbury lays one down the third base line first pitch game two, unreal to think they never tried it this game

I'm looking forward to drew leaving He was arguably the best position player for the Red Sox today, walking once and making a great defensive play that saved two runs. (Nava got a hit and Pedroia walked twice, so they're probably slightly ahead, but by a small margin). True... Very true

Two great pitching duels yesterday. Lester did the job again.
With all the swings and misses you'd think someone would have tried to bunt to third. M.C. was playing in on Jacoby but he can't move at all and is just flinging the ball when he gets it. The catcher also has a weak arm. Make them make some plays instead of playing catch.

Pretty much the worst strike zone I have ever seen in a playoff game. I am a youth baseball umpire and can call balls and strikes better than that.

Its nowhere close to being over Of course everyone remembers being down 3-0 to the Yanks, but the most hopeless I've felt might have been against CLE. Down 2-1 in the series, Delcarmen gives up a 3 run dinger to Asdrubral (I think) and we go down 3-1. Oh yeah we won that series. Lets remember that 7 of the last 13 ALCS winners lost game 1. And Boston matches us perfectly w/ Detroit. No other team can get to a bullpen as quickly as Boston's offense, and that is Detroits Achilles heal. Have confidence brothers!
