Mike Antonellis ?@seadogsradio 2h Mookie Betts is tied with St. Lucie’s (High-A, Mets) Brandon Nimmo and T.J. Nimmo for the highest average in MILB at .407 Tied Time for Mookie to step up his game.....

But excluding all Nimmo's, Betts leads the minors.
Edit: Wait, T.J. Nimmo isn't a real person. That should read "T.J. Rivera."

So Ranaudo is an ace again. So tough to tell anything based on stats with these minor league line-ups and not seeing the pitchers live. Still, a good sign he was throwing strikes.

Renaudo missed his golden opportunity for a cheap nono today by a couple easy flares to right.

Salem postponed.
Anthony Ranaudo and Henry Owens have the exact same ERA. 12 earned runs in 28 2/3 innings. I know ERA isn't any kind of prospect indicator, but it just seems funny considering the readiness with which some seem to want to label Ranaudo a bust.

The slump continues, Mookie reaches on an E4.
...and then CS!

How much younger would Stefan Welch need to be to get on the top 60?

How much younger would Stefan Welch need to be to get on the top 60? Not just age, but also provenance and skill set. Welch has none of these in his favor. Shaw is 24, has some provenance and better skills and he's on the verge of falling out of the top 60.

Good: Keith Couch retires the first 9 in order. Bad: One of those outs was a hard-hit flyball that nearly left the park.

Just Mookie being Mookie.
I honestly can't think of a time I've had more fun following one prospect than I have this year with Mookie.

That's why I think nookie for Stanton plus Fernandez is generous on our part

Even Xander, who is a better player/prospect, never really had a run like this, probably because he was always so age advanced. I almost laugh when I see Mookie's been on base another 3 times or hit another home run.

By the way, Markus Lynn Betts is now on pace for 20 home runs.
