I just want to take a second to personally thank Senquez Golson. Life is not all about money son and you made the right decision.

Moved the RBIs discussion to the throwdown subforum. Have at it there.

Just Mookie being Mookie. I honestly can't think of a time I've had more fun following one prospect than I have this year with Mookie. Pedroia was pretty close his A and AA time... that was fun. But yeah Mookie may be even more fun.

Mookie now at .422 / .471 / .689. All three figures lead the EL.

Mookie now at .422 / .471 / .689. All three figures lead the EL. Quoted just for being an amazing thing... Mookie could go into a prolonged, brutal slump, and his season numbers would still look good. Not that he would, mind you! Mookie doesn't slump. He just sometimes decides we are unworthy of seeing his brilliance.

Who wudda thunk that the name Mookie would no longer cause Red Sox fans to groan?

I would rather keep Mookie. But people keep talking trade. So that is what value i put on Mookie. I understand. To a lot of people that's priceless. Yet, some pay...

We should nickname Travis Shaw 'Mookie Betts' based on his bat the last 10 games.

Manuel Margot hit 11 XBH last year at Lowell. He already has 8 this year. Good to see he is tapping into some of that extra base pop.

But yeah Mookie may be even more fun. I think it's more than stats, he's pretty much exciting everywhere. In that regards he's similar to when Jose Reyes first came up with the Mets at age 21. He brings an air of excitement to every phase of his game. I think he's going to be the ultimate pest.

I don't know if pest is the right word. He has more power than a pest. When I hear pest I think of someone like David Eckstein.

The other Mookie, the original one, was a guest on John Stewart's show last night, plugging his book about the 1986 Mets.
