I love the stuff we're seeing from De La Rosa. I can definitely see the #1/#2 label that Law put on his pure stuff. The control is there today, but I can see where he will lose it in spurts. I also think he can work on his pitch sequencing to put guys away earlier or induce more weak contact. Overall, I'm very encouraged.

shut your trap price Brian MacPherson ?@brianmacp 1m David Price to @ken_Rosenthal on David Ortiz: "Sometimes, the way he acts out there, it looks like he's bigger than the game of baseball." Wonder what David's 'b*tch' means by 'looks like he's bigger'.

That change- up is causing havoc for Rays hitters.
And Brock Holt is better than Stephen Drew.

If you don't love Brock Holt, you don't love baseball.
Really hope he's someone they keep around as the backup MIF

...Breaks the longest streak in the majors without a HR!
More specifically, the longest active number of PA's without hitting their first career home run, only since Ben Revere hit his first recently.
Does anyone know who now has the longest active PA drought without hitting their first career home run?

Especially after the news that he's going to start working in the OF, I'm definitely leaning towards the Sox keeping him over Herrera when Drew comes up

Herrera? I think we saw his last hit in a Red Sox uniform earlier this inning.

That last pitch is a perfect example of what De La Rosa needs to do more of. Weak ground out to short on a pitch the batter couldn't do much with.
Edit: Again with the next batter. Very nice.

Still a high of 97mph on pitch #60 for RDLR.
Can finally watch a Rays-Sox game without seeing it on Local (Tampa) broadcast.. it's on Fox. MLB should dump the blackout, or forcing to watch to home broadcast rules. Some announcers are not worth watching, Tampa's being one.

Had not seen the past several games but to me it looked like Bradley, at the plate. is holding his hands closer to his body than previously. They also look more relaxed. If so, perhaps this is an adjustment to get better contact when pitched inside (maybe it can also help with hitting the ball to left as well by keeping his hands inside the baseball).
