I just saw a Youtube of Reid-Foley, wtf isn't he drafted yet? That movement is insane.

The scouting reports I am finding says Kopech is a low 90s guy but TV said 97 touches 100.. Hmmm. Anyways anyone knows if these guys are going over slot? I saw a tweet yesterday from somebody at BA that mentioned that he was one of only 6 high school pitchers that had an actual 100 MPH radar reading. (In history) ADD: I am probably butchering the wording but it was somewhat similar to that. Because of the inconsistencies in his delivery, Kopech's velocity has been varied somewhat start-to-start. He's been clocked in the high-90s, but most of the time, he's more low/mid-90s.

I just saw a Youtube of Reid-Foley, wtf isn't he drafted yet? That movement is insane. Is it signability? I said it earlier, but if that's the case, he probably deserved to go higher. That is ridiculous movement on his fastball(s) and a wicked slider.

Kopech's dad is apparently his agent/advisor, which could be good or could be bad.

He gets a lot of the power from his leg. I don't see the delivery as an issue.

The two guys who have dropped are Reid-Foley and Harrison.

Kopech's dad is apparently his agent/advisor, which could be good or could be bad. He'll probably do a better job than Colin Kaepernick's agent.

The first former player to actually read a selection correctly should get a prize

Just warning ya'll now-- Kopech is more a developmental guy who will probably need a fair amount of time to refine his delivery. Expect speed bumps. Exactly what I was thinking watching him. Power pitcher with a funky motion but you cannot teach 97 mph. There are a couple of hitches in there, but it may not take that long to clean them up. If so, he'll move quickly since there's already good secondary stuff to work with. This. Love the tight curveball. Edit: Sometimes the motion can bother some batters also. A little deception and timing issues for batters to follow. Runners will steal on him but they are generally stealing on us anyway. At least his stuff is hard.

Just a hunch, but I bet we take one of the Northeast Kids if there.. Gatto, DeCarr, Blewitt.

Toronto spends their savings on Reid Foley.
Add: Nice draft so far for Toronto on potential. Hoffman, Pentecost, Reid Foley.

Alex Anthopolous always tries to be the star of draft day. Rarely works out for him.

Great pick by Toronto to get Reid-Foley. They have some room with their extra picks.

Alex Anthopolous always tries to be the star of draft day. Rarely works out for him. Maybe so but his stock seems to be moving in the up direction with the MLB team performing and what appears to be a top 3 draft so far.

I would have to think Red Sox would be thrilled to get Willson with 66. Not sure what that does to slot bonus.
I'd like Harrison but I think at this point he is probably in the same mindset of Boldt. Going to college.

From the Chavis interview posted earlier....
ZL: Do you have your suit picked out?
MC: No, I don’t, but I decided that I’m going to try to wear a bowtie.
And wear it he did. Chavis is going to be fun to follow.

Good strategy by Milwaukee just taking the best player available. That system is brutally bad they need the influx of talent.
