Just providing a quick reminder that Rafael Devers, coming up on 100 PA in the GCL, still has a wRC+ close to 200.

Your trying to take away my favorite player away so I can't see him. Just kidding......he is quite amazing and needs to keep being challenged. Why not. You'd have to wonder, if he gets to Lowell this summer, if anyone has ever started in the DSL and been promoted twice.

Tommy Layne promoted to Boston to take the 2nd lefty role.
Hopefully, this will lead to a Noe Ramirez promotion to Pawtucket.

Hmmm. Can't decide if this is good or bad. Well, they also have Guerra, a natural SS with defensive chops, that needs some reps. And he's been playing well. So, nothing wrong with getting Chavis some 3B reps to keep in the lineup and getting AB's. I don't think anyone expects to stay at SS long term.

Nice piggyback start for Speier. Yup and his innings total have gone up in each of his last 3 outings.

Hmmm. Can't decide if this is good or bad. I wouldn't read into it yet. Could mostly be that they need to get both he and Guerra innings. But that said, it's not like he's projected to stay at shortstop very far down the line, so I don't know why you would consider this a "bad" thing even if you were reading into it.

Cherrington collects more middle infielders than any other GM in baseball. Is this supposed to be a bad thing?

Not only is the calender turning to August, but the calendar turns to August, too.

Your up the middle players are suppose to be your best players. All things in moderation my brothers. Have you seen the cast if characters that have roamed our outfield this year, and zippo power in the organization outside of Ortiz and Napoli. All things in moderation!

the fantasy player trade of John Ely to the SF Giants has been called off ... I think the Cubs have a pitcher that SF could use.
Not to mention that Britton got hit hard again.

Danny Mars thinks it's time for some street cred. He's creaming RH pitching, is only 20 and was a 6th round pick. He says don't hold that against him. He can play.

Britton is pitching himself off the 40-man roster.

And Middlebrooks. But I guess they won't get much power out of CF, C or 2B next year. The up-the-middle positions, oddly enough.

Britton is pitching himself off the 40-man roster. Up and down Sox career that is now in a downward spiral, possibly for the final time. Arm issues, "other issues" control issues and now just pitching terribly. The end is near.
