Yup, if he is right on what he said, it tells me something. What do you think, i'm a cynic? Besides, if you believe in objectivity, I would not want you as a lawyer. The so called "objective" evaluations that you refer to are conducted by people with certain perspectives and skills that often are not on a par with a professional scout, nor is there any cross checking. Besides it does not seem like it is a job for the ones you speak of, more of a hobby. Mellen was on a different level, and I learned something from him. While I'm at it, have a few suggestion for your i-pods. There is interesting information, but you talk and ramble too much at the start, interrupt your guest too often with repetitious babble , and come across as trying to be cool. It is tortuous to listen. This is an objective evaluation. It seems that you think scouts are more accurate if they say what you want to hear. And I can't tell if you'd rather that they be negative or positive.

It is tortuous to listen. This is an objective evaluation. So wait: 1) You don't find any scouting reports on this site useful. (None of us are professional scouts. We talk to them, but I'm not sure where that falls in your usefulness rubric.) 2) You find the podcasts tortuous to listen to. (I guess just don't download them then? Sorry you feel that way.) 3) You pretty much disagree with the folks who post on this forum 95% of the time. Why you come to this website? I'm not trying to be a dick or anything, but I'm just super confused by why you waste your time if you don't seem to find any redeeming value in what we have here on the website.

There are so many independent observers who are wrong over and over. How many times has Law said someone was a stud who ends up a bust? I would say a whole lot. As many as most of us would project.
I get the comment on the people in the org, who are always going to say good things but I've noticed that generally they just emphasize the positive and do not lie. And they do know the prospect better than anyone. It may well be a wash as to whose opinion I trust more. It depends on the situation and my own eyeballs as well.
