"Your up." I get it's the internet, but you are a professional sports team, and can't hire literate social media people? Also, as long as I'm being grumpy... is this ice bucket thing raising any money, or is it just a nice forum in which we can all talk about the existence of ALS?
Nice to see Cecchini with two doubles (no idea how cheap they were). I laughed at the folks who said last year you can't trade him because you can build a lineup around him, but this season has been JBJ-like.

One pro home run proves that he has good power? I'm not saying I wasn't too hard on him as a prospect, but he still hasn't hit for much power in game, and one home run doesn't change that.
Definitely jumped on him too early approach wise. He's been patient enough considering how he's hitting. But he's a guy who isn't going to get much bigger so i would expect him to slug more especially if he's raking.

Travis has XBH on 7.5% of his ABs this year. That's still pretty low. Swihart at 11% now. Last year, at 6 months older than Travis is now (still just 20!) he was at 10% in Salem. 6 months younger, at A ball, was at 8.1%.
So... I guess an optimist says he can still develop a bit more pop, and a pessimist says that unless he learns to play catcher, SS, or CF, it probably won't be enough.

Also, as long as I'm being grumpy... is this ice bucket thing raising any money, or is it just a nice forum in which we can all talk about the existence of ALS? ALS organizations are reporting huge increases in donations. The ALSA has reported a 1000% (thousand, not a typo) increase from August 2013, and I read somewhere that the MA chapter had an even bigger boost. So yeah, the money is following and it's a great thing.

Awesome... I'm still not dumping ice water on my head. My heart rate is too low for that crap.

Suggest we let Travis get acclimated to wood bats before drawing any firm conclusions. Certainly his track record at Indiana indicated he's got it in his swing.

At least some of our distinguished posters waited until April after the draft to write off Trey Ball.

Drake Britton 0.2 4H 5R 5ER 1BB 0K 1HRA
It keeps getting stranger and stranger. I find it difficult to believe something isn't wrong physically.
Callahan also got hammered.

Lets not count him out-homering Kyle Schwarber - his teammate at Indiana and the number 4 overall pick - this past college season. Schwarber is currently destroying the minor leagues. Travis has been doing extremely well for just adjusting to wood bats. He is also young for being a college draftee, only 20 (turning 21 at the end of the month), with plenty of time to add gameday power. Sheesh.

PawSox in the 9th winning a field goal duel 15-9.
19 hits, 7 BB, no TDs or Hrs but lots of doubles:
Cecchini 2 (14, Stewart, Z, Stewart, Z), McCoy, M (14, Stewart, Z), Gibson (2, Avilan), Betts 2 (10, Avilan, Fisher, C), Swihart (1, Fisher, C).
Cecchini, Betts and Gibson with 3 hits each.
Sad news sidenote, Robin Williams died. Funny man.

Man Britton has been awful, i thought he was going to be a valuable left hander out of the pen. Guess not.
