A while back I suggested that Winslow could be the best player from this draft four year from now and suggested I'd even consider him in the first 4 picks, especially over a guy like Mundiay. I think more than ever that's still true. He hit a little rough stretch and I was excited about the prospects of the Cs getting him in the 10-15 range but now he's probably a top 5 pick... Oh well he would have been perfect for this squad.
The other perfect players is WCS. He's exactly what they need down low and he will be more obtainable than Winslow. They won't be able to get WCS without a trade up, but they may have the ability to do it if he is available in the after about the 8th pick.
Assuming they can't get WCS then Kamanski (still unlikely) or Decker (should be available) could be good gets. Decker could be a good offensive wing who can shoot and slash and play enough D to stay on the court.

This Grantland article (http://grantland.com/the-triangle/pick-or-trade-what-should-the-jazz-do-to-make-the-leap/) talks about the Jazz but mentions Boston as a potential trade partner.

Separate note, NBA.com is reporting that Jared Sullinger is now healthy and available for tonight's game.

Avery Bradley for Utah's first this year and Rodney Hood? Where do we sign for that? Yes, please and then some.

Reportedly? I think it's extremely obvious that he does.

A bit late but: Brad Stevens is an absolutely fantastic coach.

I only saw a brief highlight of the game but, after Crowder hit the shot, I thought I saw Danny sitting in his seat looking as though he was saying "Really?!?! First you screw us out of a lottery pick and now you lock up a playoff meeting with Lebron instead of an injured Hawk team? C'mon, man!"
Again, only a brief glimpse but . . .

Great effort by the C's. They are going to compete, which is more than we could have hoped for prior to the season.
Also, don't quote me on this, but I just can't see this Cavs team winning a title. That defense is SOFT.

I have to say, now that Rajon Rondo is done in Dallas and for the rest of the playoffs, have to consider that trade an absolute steal for Danny the Thief.
Celtics give up: Rajon Rondo, Dwight Powell
Celtics get: Conditional first-round pick in the 2015 draft and a second-rounder in 2016 (from Dallas) $12.9 million trade exception Conditional 1st round pick from Minnesota (likely two 2nd rounders in 2016-2017, from flipping Brandan Wright) The miracle of Jae Crowder Created a trade exception worth $5 million
Wow. That's almost a similar level to the Brooklyn trade.

Can someone explain what a trade exception is?
Also, now that the season is concluded, we can start to make sense of what picks the Celts will have this year and next: 2015: 1st: Celts, Clippers 2nd: Sixers, Celts Roll-overs: Mavs 1st pick rolls over T-Wolves guaranteed top-12 so 1st pick rolls over Washington 2nd pick was top-49 protected, does it roll over?
2016: 1st: Nets, Celts, Mavs if not top-7, Cavs if not top-10, T-Wolves if not top-12 2nd: Sixers, Cavs, Heat, better of Grizz/Mavs, T-Wolves if no 2016 first-rounder Roll-overs: T-wolves 2nd if no 2016 first-rounder Mavs 1st if top-7 Cavs 1st if top-10

Isn't Cavs pick gone now (Thomas trade)?
Trade exception is hard to explain as it has to do with simultaneous trades vs non-simultaneous ones. The end game is Boston can absorb players into these exceptions when making a trade if the salaries don't match (there's more to it that others could explain better - I think JMei put up an explanation earlier in the thread).

Stevens is obviously great, but he's had a bad series.
Leaning on Zeller and Bradley all night when they're getting abused? No idea what game he was watching.

He has a bunch of role players while Cleveland has a bunch of franchise players. Too bad we didn't get the Hawks we could have beat them!

And the Sixers didn't get eithe extra pick.
I hope Towns goes to the Lakers. I want a Domincan BBall talent to be in the lime light. It took a while but most realize how good Al Horford is now.
