That Pawtucket rotation is really something else. The lineup too; could have a major leaguer at every position and all homegrown except Weeks.

Seems like the Eastern League could afford to play the first week of baseball in Arizona or Florida each season. They might get better turnout anyway, and the TV equipment would all be there still from Spring Training. At the very least, they could commit to staying away from Maine and New Hampshire for opening day.

Agreed with the Klostrophobic, who is a hell of a poster IMO, in that Pawtucket is freaking loaded with talent. Even the defense should be plus. What a rotation. What a lineup. What a defense. They should walk away with at least the first half of the year.

Moving from Nashville (PCL) to Columbus (IL) so I'm hoping to catch PawSox at some point, but Sano and Buxton both in Chattanooga means I might take a trip there before I leave TN.

How powerful did Sam Travis look on that strikeout?

Two run dinger for Wendell Rijo. I still think he's underrated, since he was so young for the league last year.

You could definitely see Rijo jump to 12 or 13 here pretty quickly if, with potential for Marrero/Travis slide back a few spots. Especially if Rijo gets off to the start he did last year (.911 OPS in April).

Especially if Rijo gets off to the start he did last year (.911 OPS in April). My two major concerns on Rijo are a) the massive leg kick he uses, which probably won't get exploited until the higher levels, and b) his effort level on defense. Not necessarily things we'll see in the stat line this year.

Dubon just took a hard one hopper in the face. Game is on a short delay while he's being attended to and Dubon is out of the game.

Gunkel had just come on for Dahlstrand after six hitless when Salem went into a delay. Wonder if this will end the game at a six-inning no-no for Dahlstrand. JJ Cooper says it's pouring.
Also looks like we'll have to wait to find out if Gunkel is piggybacking or actually relieving.
Meyers came out of the Greenville game after getting picked off. Drive Twitter says he was hurt on the play.

Already some encouraging things going on. Dahlstrand obviously sticks out, great night for Rusney, glad he isn't taking his placement poorly, not that he should, or we should expect it, just sayin'. Brentz with a couple of BB's, still have the tiniest shred of hope that he can put it together, that power is so enticing. Brian Johnson with a great start. Margot was 3-3 with 2 SB last I saw. What a start to the year for this organization.
