Don't worry sports fans, turns out they're not skipping Jess Todd tonight after all.

That would make sense. It seemed to be his turn and he's now the "5th" starter there, so to speak, with Masterson replacing ERod (essentially) in the rotation.

Callahan activated from TIA, Show back to Lowell (paper move, I assume).

Callahan activated from TIA, Show back to Lowell (paper move, I assume). Could be, but he was only up for two days and made one, four-inning appearance.

Think I'd rather see a flipping Jess Todd start in Boston then Masterson at this point.

Guerra with another HR.

Guerra with a HR and Dubon with a 3B are the only hits for Greenville through 2 innings. They trail 6-2.

You know last time JBJ was up with the Sox he might of got a raw deal three of the pitchers were Sonny Gray, King Felix and R. A. Dickey. He was 0 for 11. Something like that.

Keep hearing how Guerra has below average power and that he might "run into a couple" but that's 5 now on the year.
Even if that doesn't translate as he moves up the ladder, still gotta be happily surprised with his offense so far.

That makes 7HR for Guerra since the GCL Championship series when he hit 2. Not bad for such a small guy.

He pulled a couple of homers to right during last year's GCL season that I witnessed. He can "turn on" a pitch pretty well.

Yessir! Let's hope the GCL club is good once again and they get to play AT LEAST one game in Tampa, like in both 2013 and 2014 for PO games. Better than just watch L-Tiger A Ball and GCL Tigers games live for me.

I want to say that scouts are selling Guerra short, but we've seen thin guys are with quick wrists hit for power one year contrary to scouting reports, then regress. A recent example is KDLC.
I don't care about home run power with Guerra anyway. As long as he can square up and hit liners at a good rate, he'll be fine and he'll always have the plus glove.

I'm still not entirely sure what to make of Guerra. I mean, his counting stats are good, and his slash line is outrageous for a guy with his defensive profile ... but he's still striking out more than 30% of the time. Which of course means that his BABIP is (presumably) unsustainably high at .420.
It's still pretty SSS, so I keep feeling like something has to normalize ... either his K% comes down, or his other stats probably will. But he's walking more now then he did to start the season. So, really, I have no idea. But I think he might be the most interesting guy in the system right now. I probably watch his stats more than anyone outside of maybe Owens, Moncada, and Johnson (who are all interesting to me for various reasons). And maybe Kopech, I guess.

Moncada heard yelling, "you're full of sh## Guerrero, that was a pitch that hit you."

Greenville decided to spot Kannapolis a 5-1 lead to make it more interesting ... but storm back to take the 9-6 lead.

10 runs again for Greenville. 13 hits and no walks. Oh, that through 6 innings. 3 more turns to add to it. Everyone (starters) with a hit so far.

3 for 4 with a triple and 3 SB's for Dubon tonight.
I know SB #'s don't mean a whole lot in the lower minors but that's now 15 on the year for him.

Dubon has three hits (including a triple) and three steals tonight. Dubon is now one steal behind Q.Berry for the org lead and is now in the top ten in steals in the SAL.
