Yeah...so he wasn't helium either. In fact, he dropped in the draft. Try again. Edit: We would have accepted Reymond Fuentez, however. Kind of like changing your mind when you have the answer to a question after well thought out response. generally? The original answer was correct and the change on a whim was incorrect is my opinion. Same with fast risers over a very short period of time, over people that have longer track records of success.

How do we not know that Josh Naylor was a top 30, or even a top 15 pick on many other teams boards? Naylor may have been ranked higher by other teams, but why would any team disclose where they ranked any player they did not draft? I don't recall any team in any major sport disclosing their draft rankings.

Theres no guarantee that we see a run of senior signs. They didn't really do that last year with the exception of Cole Sturgeon in Round 10. Reed Reilly as well. Even though he was fairly well regarded. Even Reilly was a Junior according to his profile page

No surprise given the 5th round pick
Alex Speier @alexspeier Notes on Red Sox draftees through 4 rounds. Jagger Rusconi's HS coach expects him to pass on USC commit to turn pro

BA#430 Tyrone Perry has that power some are wanting, but runs probably a 10 second 0-60 and can't field at all at 1b. He's listed at 6'1 and 260lb on PG. Have seen him play live here at Lakeland HS, he's bigger than 260lb or will eat my hat, if Tyrone doesn't eat it 1st..
This kid does have MASSIVE power however. Someone can get this kid to lose about 50lb and they might have something.

We seem to be looking for the next great Italian ballplayer with Benintendi and Rusconi.

We think that way because we are looking at BA's board or Keith Laws board, for all we know many other teams were much higher on him than the media outlets....and may have been for longer than we perceive.

Ben Taylor. He's a Senior Sign, probably close to the minimum.

Ben Taylor wasn't even listed on BA's Alabama draft map, which usually has many more players than just those in the BA 500.

Alex Speier @alexspeier 1 min. Enormous K numbers for Taylor, a senior RHP: 68 Ks in 42 2/3 IP with a 1.48 ERA out of 'pen, but Sox announced him as a starter.
