Why keep him in the club house for several hours then? He came in to see the doctor. The doctor said "you're too sick to play, go home." He followed the doctor's directions.

OK , you guys win. Papi goes to the media before he talks to the manager about not wanting to play first. No reason to question him. I'll drop it.

Why keep him in the club house for several hours then? I believe NESN said pregame the Sox were giving him treatment for his upper respitory infection because it was thought he might be able to go and the staff was waiting to see how he felt after which held up the lineup card. No need to question Ortiz here.

Once the Sox made it 5-2 last night, I didn't think they'd use Tazawa for that second inning. The could have used almost any LH reliever from the 'pen to dispatch with the last two guys in the lineup, and also for Ellsbury and Gardner. Then if it got past him, they could've gone to Ogando, or a 4 out save for Koji. That woulda left Taz good to go tonight for an inning. More importantly, if you're not going to use Masterson or Johnson tonight (and get Miley out of the game earlier) then why even have them on the roster.
Also, inexcusable to play Napoli the first two games. But glad they pinch hit and he's back on the wagon, albeit clinging to the running boards.
Lastly, did anyone else notice that our second highest OBP on the team is Hanigan (not including pitchers).

How many calls a day do you think bc Gets from Kelly's agent?
Given the current state of our rotation and bullpen, I have to believe Kelly's agent is all over bc about Kelly's ability to contribute.

Given the way things have historically leaked from that clubhouse (and given that we're talking about Ortiz here, who as you even has said isn't one to put on a facade for the media), what makes you think that they're suddenly able to put a spin on what really went down in this one situation? Do you really think that Ortiz wouldn't have flipped out on his way out the door or something? I'll give you that it's awfully coincidental and wouldn't blame you if it raised your antennae a bit (raised mine, I'll admit), but I think your certainty that something else is up here is a bit misplaced.

Fair post sir.But I said I'd drop it , so it is.
