Joy and recognition on Owens' face when he saw Bradley make that catch.

Can people stop saying Swihart needs more AAA time?
I like Vasquez a lot and want him behind the plate, but Swihart belongs.

Swihart has been spraying line drives all over the field lately. I know there has been some speculation over whether we should trade him, but I'd be very reluctant to move a guy with his upside.

Is it really surprising that this Red Sox team is significantly better now that we are letting the youngin's play everyday?

Yeah, I don't understand why people want to trade the guy. Do they really enough seeing guys like AJ Pierzynski and Sandy Leon catch for the Red Sox? Why are we looking to trade an above average offense and defensive catcher who is just 23, and likely to improve as he enters his prime? Yes, I understand we have the uber defensive Vazquez but he is going to be coming back from Tommy John surgery and hasn't proven he can hit. I'm not saying I wouldn't trade Swihart, if you could get a young ace under control? Absolutely, I'd move him. But I wouldn't actively try to shop him.

I did not see anything jiggling on the panda. He may be big but it's not fat..
Odd looking muscle. Maybe it's something else?
Those are 12 pack abs.

Red Sox are now 10 games under .500 for the first time since that ill-fated post-ASB trip a month ago.
56-66
8-5 to start season
then went 20-33 over the next eight weeks
and since have been a .500 team (28-28 since June 16)

Hembree jacked that last pitch up to 98. Has he been doing that consistently at Pawtucket?

Not that I'm complaining. But did Cueto's agent forget to tell him he might bring his A game tonight? Yeah, f him, I'm good with Owens.

He screams decline and disappointment to me. If we're going to sign a star SP, it's gotta be Price (although I wouldn't mind bypassing that and buying low for a few years of Samardzija as an alternative).

I've always been way higher than everyone on Owens because of how unhittable he's been at every level.

I like him too, but his fly ball tendencies may not play well here, especially if righties have the tendency to pull the ball in the air off of him (sample size obviously way too small to judge right now). I'm bigger on ERod, but I think Owens is going to be an inning eater at least. I could see DD looking to trade him though.

He can stay in the lineup as there's nobody to replace him really. Hanley is better of on the DL or in a salary dump waiver wire deal.
