Shame Marcus isn't healthy. Would love to see how he stacks up (defensively) against Curry (as much as anyone can stack up against him).

As of last night, 538's Elo-based projection system sees the Celtics winning 50 games and as the second-best team in the East, with a 91% chance of making the playoffs and a 3% chance of winning the title: projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2016-nba-picks/The Celtics are currently in eighth place in the standings, but are just a game and a half out of first and have the best point differential in the East (and third-best overall). I hope they are right that Celtics are that good. Sorry to see T-wolves with only 8% playoff chance.

Some fun Warrior facts leading up to Friday's game in Boston:
(5) Through 23 games, the Warriors are winning games by an average of 14.6 points. The current NBA season record for highest average point differential is 12.3 (held by the same 1971-1972 L.A. Lakers squad that won 33 consecutive games).
(4) Steph Curry is averaging 45 points per 48 minutes played. Only two players in the history of the game have ever averaged 46+ points per 48 minutes played - Wilt Chamberlain (who did it seven times) and Tiny Archibald (1972-1973 season).
(3) As a team, the Warriors are on pace for 1,115 three pointers made during the 2015-2016 season, which would obliterate the current NBA season record of 933 three pointers made by a team (held by the Houston Rockets).
(2) Steph Curry's effective field goal (EFG) percentage this season is .656. No non-center in the history of the NBA has ever exceeded an EFG of .613. As a result, Curry is on pace for the most efficient scoring season by a non-center in NBA history.
(1) Dating back to last season, including the playoffs, the Warriors are 106-20 in their last 126 games.

This Friday, it's must see TV with The 23-0 Warriors taking on the 12-10 Celtics. Hopefully, Klay's ankle is healed and good to go. You mean the 13-9 Celtics? lol Looking forward to this game

Great win. Chicago fans were talking smack all game long. It will be interesting to see what we do at the deadline.

Hopefully nothing that negatively affects the future. That means don't trade any Nets draft picks, unless you get a clear cut young star. I don't even know who would fit that bill.
Keep being patient Danny unless you find that deal.
No Cousins

I actually think Cousins is worth a shot if his trade value continues to sink. I don't think he'd be a huge problem here (although he wouldn't be much a leader either) and he'd destroy most bigs in the east.

Like would you trade this years Nets pick for him?

But, there's a giant drop off from Simmons to the two Cal kids (Jaylen Brown and Ivan Rabb). So, I doubt Sacramento would do that deal. Why not just go all in for Kevin Durant, like everyone else is doing?

Well we have the Nets picks the next three years. Gotta think we do something with at least one of those plus the Mavs/Wolves picks etc

Brown and Raab are project 6 and 12 right now in the way too early look so yea there is a big drop to them. Btw there is a big drop from Simmons to anyone but that says more about Simmons than the quality of the other players.
I wouldn't give up any of those picks for him because he's a degenerate and while I don't mind taking a chance on a guy at the right price that's not it. I wouldn't mind so much about the attitude if he were a competitor on the court. If he is and I just don't know it and Stevens can get into his potential that's great but there's no evidence of that right now..

Well we have the Nets picks the next three years. Gotta think we do something with at least one of those plus the Mavs/Wolves picks etc Boston has a poop load of picks the next three drafts. No doubt about that. You're going to have somewhere between a 15.6% and a 1.1% chance of landing the #1 overall pick in 2016, depending on how Brooklyn plays the rest of the way. The Warriors did their part though. They already beat the Nets twice.

No doubt but you need to be smart and stay patient and not get the wrong pieces just because you feel you need to trade. They really should use the picks on some draft and stash players like that Chinese guy.

While Simmons is clearly the next best thing, there are other prospects that have serious talent (Ingram from Duke, Labissiere and Murray from Kentucky and everyone seems to love Bender from Europe). Simmons is the only one that is translating his talent to the court consistently (though nitpickers are pointing out his lack of killer instinct . . .)
Besides, it wouldn't JUST be Brooklyn's pick. Even with a sinking value, you're talking a package. That's why I wouldn't include this year's Brooklyn pick.
Speaking of the above prospects, anyone else get the feeling that Danny is going to drool over Bender? He always seems to want that European Big (supposedly like Saric a few years ago and Porzingis last year).

Is there any doubt that GS is going to smoke the Celtics tonight? All this talk about them winning pretty much assures that GS will not have a let down. 20 point loss.

I like Simmons a lot, but his lack of shooting worries me a bit. I know he's young and wouldn't be the first guy to develop a shot once basketball became his full-time job (see Smart, Marcus), but he's shown little feel for that part of the game. He doesn't have to be a great shooter to be a great player, but he needs to be respectable - otherwise his passing ability will be much less effective.
Now, would I trade the #1 for Cousins? No, but it's not a completely ridiculous thought either.

Nobody associated with the Dubs takes any game for granted. You have to remember that this is a team that waited 40 years for another championship.

A game for the ages. Huge props to the Boston Celtics. You gave the Warriors your all. Nobody here really loses. The Warriors streak continues. And, the Celtics gain a measure of well-deserved respect.

Got to give major props to Danny Ainge. I was a big skeptic in that short post big three couple of years that included a first round exit and a 25 wins team. Since then, he's built a fearless and talented young team with still a lot of assets for the future while not even having to tank for more than a year. I've been very much wrong about a lot of stuff, but I've possibly never been more wrong than I have been with him.
Respect.

This is a very entertaining team. I don't know how many "very's" good they are. That was a great game though and when the team is playing like it can they are super entertaining. A couple observations:
1. Isaiah is a great scorer, but man does he suck for that situation where you are trying to win the game on the last possession. Giving him the ball (Twice!!!) in that situation was a bad move by Stevens. I know he was right there at the end of OT but he missed bc he was so awkwardly out of control and barely got the handle to shoot it. Trying to shoot over Livingston was dumb. They should have ran a play there, especially second time and probably for KO
2. This is the type of game that makes you love and hate KO. He needs to find consistency in his game. That's one of the biggest things I'm looking for between now rest of the year. The Celtics should make that a focus to try and get. Not sure how, maybe by trying to get him to be more aggressive by running plays for him more etc.
3. Was nice to see Young on the court in OT with the game on the line. He didn't do anything good or bad, but it was good to see him in that environment.
Great game to watch. Fun team to follow as a fan for so many reason.

Klay Thompson was even back. Is there anything to the fact that Monroe and KO both lit up the Warriors? Do they have a weakness on the interior defensively? Wonder what will happen, if/when Bogart gets injuried
