Kelly has zero control right now.

I guess it's understandable Kelly is pitching around Kim, he is a career .318/.406/.488 hitter after all.

Walking the 9th hitter twice got to take some talent.

How is data bad when it backs up what we both agree to be true and see watching the games? I think Wright is a good starting pitcher, therefore his 1 start this year is a sufficient sample size to conclude that he is. Is that how it works? How does that make the data bad? If you said sample size is to small I would have no problem with that, but there is nothing wrong with the data. Still waiting on where you pulled 2000 innings from.

Still waiting on where you pulled 2000 innings from. How about you do some research of your own for a change?

Nice hit by JBJ. Gotta get it a bit closer to the pole to get a HR though.

JBJ attempts head first slide from the middle of second and third. LOL. Nice hit Jackie.

No he hasn't. Started 78 and played in 92 over 3 years, with his rating being about the same each year. For me that's more then enough information to show he's below average at 3B. Now if he became a full time 3B sure maybe he could improve, but in his current role I see no reason to expect his 3B D to improve.

Amazing. All Kelly needed to do was get Alvarez (with a career .309 obp) out and have a pitch count low enough to start the 6th. Instead, he walks him for the 2nd time!!! and he's now at over 110 pitches.

Wait...Has Doug Glanville been outside this whole time while Sutcliffe is inside? I hope a millenial didn't see that....they may consider that racist.

In classic Joe Kelly fashion....120 pitches over 5 innings.
I'm not sure anyone has put up more 100+ pitch, 5 inning starts in the last 5 years than him.

It wasn't pretty or efficient. But I'll take two runs in five innings from Joe Kelly and be happy with it.

Well fangraphs suggests not reading much into UZR until full one to 3 year samples. www.fangraphs.com/library/defense/uzr/
