Clay Buchholz has succeeded tonight.
...in making me want to see Steven Wright take his starts.

First two weeks of the season and we are already wearing the pen down to hell....
We haven't had a starter make 7 innings yet...

The offense is good. Will have to win a lot of games with 7 or 8 runs. The bull pen is improved, but most likely will break down with all the short starts coming. At least with the April off days there is some rest built in.

Where were Clay breaking pitches? He was grooving where Swihart was setting to Trumbo. He won't survive without any offspeed pitches.

Really don't like leaving Ramirez in a 1 run game at home, but I'm not the maanager.

Not watching the game, did Buchholz look toast?

Trading Moncada would be a colossal mistake. We're already at almost a 200 million dollar payroll with a ton of deadweight. May want to recalibrate your sarcasm detector there... The Red Sox would never do that. They'd try to package Benintendi and Devers before trading Moncada.

Not watching the game, did Buchholz look toast? is that a rhetorical question?

We're literally going to have to score 10 runs a game.

Man this team is really beginning to remind me of the 1980's Orioles.

Moving Kelly to the pen/AAA firing Farrell, and bringing up ERod will probably help this team be fairly decent but I really hope they don't give up prospects for this team like the Bruins did.

Not watching the game, did Buchholz look toast? The first two runs were a fluke. But he seemed to be really fighting his control in that last inning.

This staff stinks from top to bottom. It just sucks to have a question mark at every slot except Price, not even E-Rod is a sure thing and I'd kill right no to have him back. But at this point it cannot be Wright who gets replaced

Agreed, the stuff looked much sharper, the command wasn't there. But for me at least, this was much more encouraging than his last start, I think he'll get back on track soon.
