How many innings can Hembree realistically go? Let's say he's pretty efficient, can he make 3 innings? Who is gonna bite the bullet here and eat some innings? Kimbrel and Uehara are likely off limits.

If you don't have the Celtics game on, keep it that way. Boston is going to burn down tonight. I doubt I'm the only one taping it — I guess I'll be fast forwarding through the 1st quarter. And moving on from this thread.

So, is this one of those "these pitching log jams have a way of working out" moments?

If you guys think this could get ugly, you should be thankful you aren't watching the Celtics. That first quarter was about as fun as drinking boiling water.

Just try walking one of the Red Sox young killer B's; it's way harder than it looks.
What has happened to controlling the strike zone with this team?

As bad a squander as you can possibly have.

Nothing more frustrating than bases loaded no outs, followed by two ground balls and not a single run scoring.

It's been very difficult for Pedroia to drive the ball in the air all season.

If Farrell ever plays Holt again, I wouldnt be opposed to having him lead off. Mookie has been atrocious...

Brutal.
Hembree was great. Too bad he'll likely get sent down now.

I can't wait for Moncada/Benintendi to get to the bigs.

A "right shoulder impingement" for Kelly ... maybe nothing, but ominous.

There's about a 90% chance Kelly would have put us in a worse spot than we are in now. Good job Hembree.

Huge from Hembree. He looks really good.

What ever the outcome of that game, we Have in Hembree a very good BP arm. He's a much better pitcher than Matt "electric fastball" Barnes.

Brutal. Hembree was great. Too bad he'll likely get sent down now. Don't count on it. He looked very good (to me) in spring training. I believe that he is better than Noe and Barnes. Noe was sent down. Hembree stays. Mookie's lack of plate discipline is hurting him and us.

What's the status on E-Rod? Up to 75 pitches in a sim game. This coming Saturday.....and then he will be evaluated.

Mookie's swing rates aren't actually up at all as compared to last year. Instead, he's just swinging and missing a ton at pitches outside the zone.

I will say this: it's great that we're no longer facing the Blue Jays and that brutal stretch of MVP-caliber hitters. Guys like Ross and Layne will be more useful now, and the whole pitching staff can breathe a little easier.

The Farrell regime has turned Bogaerts and Betts from patient hitters to completely undisciplined. Horrible job with them and Bradley IMO.
