So happy we got Amelia Vega hubby. Get Durant and trade for Cousins next please. Thomas, Bradley, Durant, Horford, Cousins would be the GOAT line-up.

Horford and Cousins have some decent and improving range. Started to shoot more 3's last season.

I really think it went out of control when mike conley got the richest contract in nba history.

Ehh much as I like cousins in theory I don't think he fits next to horford, I think if they can get durant they should stand pat, maybe try to find some solid veteran big or another shooter, but Thomas durant and horford along with the rest of the guys under contract should make a pretty lethal line up with a real solid bench

There have been so many signings for big money it's been hard to keep track. After browsing thru the list of them so far, here is some reaction:
1. What they heck are the Lakers doing? I guess they believe in their young core so much they decided to add veteran role players around them.
Mozgov 4/64 & Deng 4/72 to go with resigning Clarkson 4/50. Clarkson I get.... Would have been better if they had someone give him and offer sheet and matched so the salaries the next two years were greatly reduced giving more cap space but that's out of their control. Deng showed he wasn't washed up last season but why? Both him and Mozgov are probably overpaid next year and definitely will be by the end of their deals bc they are already 30+. Just bad bad deals. Love it tho.
Orlando - interesting retooling their. Traded for Ibaka and made s bunch of free agent signings. Resigned Fournier, added Biyombo (4/72), Augustine (4/29, Jeff Green (1/15).... It's kind of odd that they traded their best 2 guard for a low post player then signed Biyombo and Green. Green is a 3 but he's more a small 4 these days. Vecevic is a very good center and Gordon is their young prospect who I guess can play the wing but can't really guard it. It's going to be interesting to see their rotations. My guess is they get destroyed on the wings because they can't defend. Augustine is a good backup on paper but he's not really good in that role. Funny, he's actually a better fill in starter than he is playing backup minutes off the bench.
Houston - added Ryan Anderson (4/80) and Eric Gordon (4/53)... Funny they must not want to play defense anymore losing Howard and adding these two to play with the Beard.
E'Twaun Moore - 4/34 with the Pelicans... Good for him. Always liked him here when we drafted him. Thought he should have been kept and given more minutes to develop. Not saying I miss him but glad he found a place in the league and made some real scratch.
Austin Rivers - 3/35 with Clippers- the third year being a player option . I guess in today's NBA this isn't so bad but initial reaction is really? U had to give a player option to keep him and it had to be that much? Sounds like Daddy padded his sons bank account.

Ibaka might fit next to Vucecvic, but Gordon can't shoot enough to play the wing, he's a better fit as a small ball 4, though everything I've heard/seen of him pegs him as a pretty good defender. Maybe they try to deal Vucevic and play small, run the floor and have Ibaka defend centers (and Green would probably fit with that plan), where Ibaka's shooting is a bigger plus and Gordon's is less of a minus. Still I don't know where that leaves them- a decent East team at best, another mid-lottery finish again more likely, and worst case slipping cause a lot of other teams have improved

I think Lakers stand out. Why would a team that's 2-3 years away sign an ok center and a good SF that are 30 and 31? By the time their young players are ready those guys will most likely not be any good and have a cap hold more than a Max player. Stupid moves in my opinion. They should have signed Biyombo who could grow with young team and brought in vets on one year deals to help rookies.
As for Houston, if Capela is your starting center, I love the pairing of Anderson. That's the type of player you pair Anderson with. Also if Gordon could stay healthy that's a great contract compared to what players like Hill got.
The Magic are just a mess and keep making dumb moves. They need a star and draft is only way they will get one. I would have traded young players for more picks.
To some up free agency so far; you get 10 million, you get 10 million, everyone gets 10 million a year.

If Durant goes to Golden State I'll lose some respect. I really question where they team will be by adding Durant. When you are as good as they are and had Thompson and Curry using so many possessions already how much better does Durant make you? Don't get me wrong, obviously you're better and clearly better. However, when you have to subtract Barnes, Bogut and the rest of your bench I feel like it's questionable for GS to do that. You're giving up all your depth and leaving no room to replace it. Going to rely on vets chasing a ring I guess.
I'm mad that I got myself hung up on the Celtics actually signing him.

When Durant officially announces and he's not coming here I hope the Celtics stand pat for the most part. No multi year deals is what I mean. No panic trades giving up any of the Nets picks. Let your guys develop and Horford get acclimated and go after it next year during free agency. If your young players take a step forward, and you add another top 5 pick with try possibility of yet another one the following year, they may have their pic of the litter next year.

According to Royce Young its down to the Warriors and Thunder for Durant. NBA free agents just aren't big on Boston for some reason. Wonder why since it doesnt seem to be an issue for the red sox, pats or bruins.

How can you say NBA free agents aren't big on Boston? Just signed Horford and were at least a finalist for Durant.
Also, Crabbe has NOT agreed with the Nets.

Also, other sources are telling Blakley KD is seriously considering Boston. ESPN is a joke at this point so Royce Young doesn't mean much to me. Holding out hope. Now if WOJO reports it then...

The Crabbe stuff was later refuted, but it sounds like it may have been offered.
As for Durant - I don't think anyone knows! All of the rumors popping up don't look very credible.

For one why would any team want to announce a signing of restrict free agent before July 7th when 3 day clock for team to match starts? Makes no sense gives other team information that helps them plan out signings up to 7th.
If Crabbe gets 4 years 70 million that's crazy even in this market.

I'm thinking Golden State. Term could be interesting. Does he go there to get a ring and then leave to be the man again.
