Not to go all "sky is falling", but this bullpen goes from strength to significant weakness if Tazawa and Uehara keep giving up HR's and fatigue more as the season goes on.

Say good bye to first place folks. The last seven days have been edifying.

Farrell adds nothing to this team. Can him.

Cuevas, Light, Hembree, Martin. Time to give a few of these relievers a legit chance of helping out

There is no reason Bradley should be hitting behind Shaw anymore.

The 5 and 6 hitters are looking a little shaky these days

Say good bye to first place folks. The last seven days have been edifying. Fortunately, we stockpiled a decent record prior to those seven days..and we gave a couple away. I can't speak for anyone else, but the division title sloth was always going to be a dogfight and no team is going to go through a season without pitfalls. The team has shown resiliancy during individual games....now they have to show more for this lull in the season. It's Papi's last year.....we'll go down swinging....end results be damned.

I really wish we had the luxury of phony DL'ing Koji and or Taz just so Farrell doesnt work them into the ground, because the way they are going i'm scared for what that August/September/October product is gonna look like. They need someone like Light or Martin to emerge desperately. Hembree I think will be back up soon enough.

Probably a good thing Xander's streak ended because he desperately needs a day off.

There is no reason Bradley should be hitting behind Shaw anymore. I wonder if Shaw's hand is still hurt.

Come on Xander, Ortiz the go-ahead run on deck and swing at ball 4 twice? Poor

^Who knows. You know Bogey had the streak on his mind, he normally would lay off the 3-1 and especially the 3-2 pitch.

Real concern about Uehara - I've never seen so many foul balls off him. He's 41. Price was pretty good - but it ain't worth $31

That was won we probably should've lost. Still stinging from the 2-3 we shouldn't have in the last 7 days.
And now the pen is officially a mess.

There is no reason Bradley should be hitting behind Shaw anymore. Yup. If Farrell doesn't want to do anything too dramatic with the lineup, then I really have no idea why he insists on batting JBJ seventh. He should move Bradley up to 5th, drop Hanley to 6th and Shaw to 7th. I wouldn't worry about a LOOGY shutting down Ortiz and JBJ. They can handle lefties and JBJ is clearly better than Ramirez and Shaw. If I were pitching to the Sox, I'd pitch around Ortiz and take my chances with Hanley, given that he's about the 6th or 7th best hitter on the team. With Bradley, I might still pitch around Papi, but facing a guy with an OPS around 1.000 following Ortiz is hardly a picnic. Why Farrell won't do this I don't know. Probably the same reason he warms up Tazawa just about every night. And I've got to say, the bullpen is kind of scary. Uehara is not the same pitcher as the last couple of seasons (and that doesn't include 2013). The prospect of him being our 8th inning guy kind of scares me. They need help.

My Ideal lineup is this. Although I totally understand the Bogey leading off argument.
Betts Bradley Bogaerts Ortiz Pedroia Shaw Ramirez LF C
I dont see Farrell moving Pedroia out of the 2 hole though unfortunately.
