So discuss the game in here? Yeah, sorry, our bust. Post in here for now and I'll transfer the posts over to a proper game thread when I'm in front of a computer in a couple hours.

So discuss the game in here? Toronto Series? Can there be an emergency thread?

I would've used Chris Young in LF today instead of Swihart. I mean, it's Fenway and vs Dickey, you know which pitch is coming.

Some of the Ground Rules are applied loosely in here, as we understand that there is a tendency to want to react (or overreact) to every play of a Sox game with one line reactionary posts. Those posts are okay in the Red Sox Series threads to a point - we certainly appreciate the passion. Just try not to overdo it, and try to maintain some semblance of reason. In addition, please don't let those type of posts spill over to other more substantive threads, where they may be deleted. -The Management

Home runs happen when the umpire will not call anything a strike that isn't right down the middle.

Red Sox are 54 games in. Exactly one-third of the way through their season.
Xander Bogaerts is on pace for 237 hits, 18 HR, 54 2B, 99 RBI, and 21 SB. Oh, and he might win the batting title. Oh, and he's an above-average SS. Oh, and he's only 23.
Mookie Betts is on pace for 204 hits, 156 runs, 42 HR, 33 2B, 12 3B, 129 RBI, and 24 SB. Oh, and he's a plus defender. Oh, and he's also only 23.
Okay, so Mookie won't hit 42 home runs, but 30 or more seems likely. And Xander might not hit 54 doubles or hit .350 all year. Yes, the pitching has been frustrating this year, but let's not forget that these two superstars - not to mention Bradley (26), Vazquez (25), Shaw (26), Rodriguez (23), and an elite farm system - make the Red Sox the envy of about 90% of the teams in baseball right now.

WTF are all these Blue Jays fans at Fenway? Same reason you see them at Yankee games, season ticket holders cutting their costs.

Price looks like he has his C+ stuff tonight. Not looking forward to Bautista, Donaldson and EE next inning.

I think Pedey could've gotten Bautista there if he didn't rush it.

I don't disagree necessarily. At this point, Mookie is the better power hitter. Maybe that changes over time, but the Sox should at least consider swapping Betts and Bogaerts. However, the 18 home runs for Bogaerts might end up being a little conservative. I believe five of the six he has right now have come in May. He could hit five a month from here on out and reach 25+. And his RBIs might start to go up now that Betts is getting on base more.
