That's absurd. What is Farrell going to do to Wright now? Put him in the corner? Make him run laps? Take him out of the rotation? That's on the player. Another one for the ignore list. Ya seriously he was walking toward the dugout like the inning was over smh It's a passed ball genius on strike 3 with runners on second and third. The P doesn't know to cover home? Give me a break

In your world the Manager is not held accountable for anything. Give me a break. Smell the coffee and please tell me, what is the Manager's job? Filling out the lineup which he's terrible at. Handling the bullpen which he's terrible at. I'm not going to go searching for stupid reasons to get mad at him. There are plenty of legitimate reasons to fire him. But he's not actually controlling the players on the field with a video game controller. These aren't Little League players. They know what they're supposed to do. Again, we agree to disagree

You would think if Dombrowski had a problem with JFs terrible decisions he would do something about it. Starting to think its on Dombrowski as well.

I'd bet that if you put up a poll, it would be # of respondents minus one who would blame Wright and one who would blame Farrell.

So Farrell will bring in Vazquez for defense, but he won't pinch hit for Hanigan... No clue.

Oh no no no, that's an achilles. Well, he's walking now. So maybe it's still stretchy enough as a 24 year old to not tear.
The way his foot bent backwards was really ugly. I guess it could also be his calf.

He also once again brought in Barnes instead of Ross to pitch two bridge innings to get to the bullpen elite. 111 vs. 77 xFIP- 4.39 vs. 3.00 SIERA 0.66 vs. 2.46 leverage-adjusted WPA per 60 G On what planet is the first guy the better option, again and again and again and freaking again?

While I agree with the general sentiment, it's possible that Koji and Tazawa were both unavailable today, with Ross going in the 8th then Kimbrel in the 9th.

Not sure what that has to do with Swihart, but I'm guessing there's just not enough players on the bench to start using them in the 6th inning.

Honestly they should just have 18-21 year old kids as umps. These old guys just suck at their jobs and cost way more anyway.

JBJ now 3/24, 2B, HR, 6 BB, 3 SO starting from the day the streak ended. He's had some bad luck, but he's hitting a lot of weak grounders as well. will it last 50 PA or 100? Might tell something really his transformation is permanent.

He's going to walk a lot now because he has a great eye and pitchers know he can crush it. And a 10% k rate during a slump is pretty nice too.

Not sure why they don't just put the catcher best able to handle it behind the plate, Oh, that's easy. The reason is that every starting pitcher except Wright is talking to Farrell every day telling him how much they love having Vazquez behind the plate.

He had Ross warming when Barnes was struggling in the 6th, which indicated he was unlikely to be the planned 8th inning guy.
