Not a major league pitcher at this time...shouldn't be in the major leagues. Should be in all star game.

It's your typical 4-9-6 play for the out.

For context, the Rays have lost 11 in a row coming into today and they have the worst average in the AL.
Sell.

Honestly...I have never felt more concerned during this season for the future of this organization than I do tonight. We just seem to be pissing away the youth of of Betts, Bogie and Bradley. Dear Baseball Gods....please help. This seems like a bit of an exaggeration. Two 23-year-old superstar players, plus a center fielder with most of his prime years still ahead of him, plus an elite farm system...I think most teams would gladly trade situations with the Red Sox right now. Yes, the World Series seems like a long shot this year, but that doesn't mean the organizational direction is pointing down. The Red Sox are at the start of something good, not the end of it.

Rodriguez can't sneak a single fastball by them. Not even a foot outside. If you were Dombrowski JimEd, what in-house moves would you make after this game?

Guys ? What is the point of Farrell doing that to this kid ? The team ? The fans ?

It was pretty unconscionable that Rodriguez was left in to take this beating, especially when you know you're going to option him down for an extra reliever the next day.

Erod head is low humiliated ....JF don't bother taking the plane home your fired . I did not realize that Farrell was pitching. My bad. Erod has to take one for the team. Who would you bring in at this point??? Buch is now in the rotation. Erod needs to go to AAA and work hard on secondaries IMO. Snell is succeeding with a great CB in addition to a FB equal to Erod's. Command and control are desperately missing for Erod at present too. He is not MLB caliber now. Can we trade him for Miller? We have very few options without jettisoning the farm for yet more uncertainty and a disastrously long nuclear winter. Forget sending Papi out on top. Take a longer view.

Sure....and I think tonight's game had me go to a place of despair I don't often visit for my favorite sports team....but we are losing Ortiz....Uehara..gone.....Hanley and Pedroia are a year older...and I am just am fearful on the pitching front....we are going to have to replace 60% of our starting rotation next year and that's if everyone else stays healthy. I am holding on too tight......

Farrell wasn't even gonna get him until Xander motioned So, JF needs another player to let him know Erod's had enough? Bogey lets the media know he needs a day off? Who's running this ship?
