Yep, and the Giants have to go to Lambeau, the Cowboys and their rookie QB are the one seed, the Seahawks didn't get a bye.
It really is almost perfect. If Gronk wasn't injured i's be supremely confident. Still, the Pats have to be the heavy favorites right now.

Right now it's too far to look into. Anyone coming from the NFC looks to be just as good if not better than anyone the Patriots have to face in the entire AFC conference anyways. So haggling over which NFC team you would rather face is pointless. It's probably going to be the toughest game of the year for the Patriots in the superbowl no matter who they face.

I just really can't believe the Patriots just got handed a layup in the first game of the playoffs. Ecstatic about it. I mean this could be like facing Tim Tebow in the playoffs all over again.

I can see GB beating Dallas in the playoffs. They're on a roll and Aaron Rogers is on a par with Brady. If we end up playing Dallas in the SB, I can see BB taking their running game away and forcing their QB to beat us. On the other hand, how do you take away Rogers? You just have to outscore him. So, give me Dallas as a better chance to win.
PS. Floyd. Wow. 31 teams passed on him. He might start in place of Mitchell. PSS. I'm a Miami fan for at least one week.

Chances are Pitt beats Miami, so KC will play Pitt. Oak vs. Houston, not so sure on the outcome but it does't matter the winner faces NE and loses. So the Pats will either play Pitt or KC for the chance to represent the AFC in the Superbowl. I think KC (Pitt could hang with us but I don't see them giving us as tough a challenge) could make us sweat it out but that NE will prevail. The NFC is much more wide open. Would anyone be shocked if GB, Seattle, NYG or Dallas represents the NFC for the Superbowl?

Can we talk about the block that Floyd laid on Tony Lippett during the Edelman TD? I'm not up to date with the lingo these days but I think it's safe to say that Lippett got served. I couldn't help but watch it four or five times. Absolutely jacked him up. Like a vintage Milloy hit. Or watching Corey Dillon stiff-arm a d-back into the next Sunday. That hit was worth 50 yards and 6 points, and a prime spot on the season highlight reel. Damn. Floyd's last season in College he worked on blocking and became one of the best WR blockers in all of College. Nice to see he's still working hard at that. The thing I like the most is that Brady sent 4 passes his way. Seems Brady already has some trust in him.

Good luck taking away Dallas running game. Best OL in football, great running back and the X factor is Dak a great running QB. You'd have to sell out completely to take it away, thus opening things up for Bryant, Written, etc. Then even when things breakdown Dak can pick up big chunks of yardage with his legs. Rodgers is great but the Packers running game is smoke and mirrors. The Packers D just gave up 408 yards to Detroit, a team that has no running game. I know Rodgers is great, but you can make that team one dimensional easily and control the clock and keep Rodgers on sidelines.

The teams that pressure the QB with good defense have always been the teams that have had success againat Brady. Thats why I see that as important. Im rooting for a good match up plus I juat don't like the Giants anyway.

How hard is it to get the tickets on ticketmaster when they go on sale for the General Public? I missed out on the waitlist pre sale.

Hello Houston Texans. Only thing that scares me is the sheer amount of shade being cast in the Texans' direction. Game's opening up at Westgate as NE -14.5 vs Houston. Wow.
edit: make that -16

**** we're going to be the ones saddled with Nantz/Simms, of course.
I'm loving how Buck and Aikman fell flat on their faces with the "failing on 4th & 1 is going to destroy all the Packers' momentum" prediction.
Meanwhile, I'm glad our team practices situational football. Would be a shame to get embarrassed by a random Hail Mary play or a kickoff that was about to go out of bounds at the 3 yard line...

Good thing Texas is use to seeing slaughters with all the slaughter houses they have down there, because this Saturday the Patriots will be doing just that to the Texans. It's almost like having a pre season game put in before the real playoffs start.

I've never heard of a "pulling a player out of the pile" penalty. But the only reason there was a pile was because a Texans player came in and shoved a PAtriots player long after the play was over. why did THAT not get flagged?!?

Interesting that Belichick took the timeout with 10 seconds left in the 1st half, then kicked the FG. Normally if you're going to kick the FG you want to take the timeout with 3-5 seconds left so you don't have to kick off. Was he planning to go for it on 4th down, then changed his mind when he noticed Blount lost a yard and he was now 1½ yards out?

This game is a bunch of flukey BS. The offensive line is having by far it's worst game of the year so far though.

LOL, the Visa Half-Time Report all about how great the Texans did. The "H&R Block Winning Play of the Game" a sack of Brady. Someone remind these folks at CBS who is actually leading.

Michael Floyd's contributions today:
- Tipped ball into defender's hands, spent a couple of seconds on the ground before he realized he should probably get up and play defense. - Watched another defender drop an interception in front of him. - OPI penalty.
Let's hope Malcolm Mitchell is healthy next week...

In contrast, I love how Edelman plays defense after interceptions. Such a complete player.
