Horford only had 15 points last night but every one of them seemed like a big bucket. He was awesome. He kept hitting shots that would stop the runs the Wizzards would go on and he had at least 2 buckets in the fourth in the paint that were big time strong post up moves that he showed incredible touch on. What a great player he is... if nothing else these playoffs have shown all of Boston why he's a deserving max guy. I'll never complain about the Horford contract. 4 years at max money isn't all that bad. His upgrade over Sullinger is what brought this team from a first round exit into a ECF round in the playoffs. That's a pretty significant upgrade if you ask me.

Last night was huge and the biggest win since the Celtics were in the finals like 8 or 9 years ago but tonight is really their championship night.
If the ping pong balls screw the Celtics one more time, so help me lord......

I'm really starting to get nervous about tonight. It really sucks that we have a better chance of getting the 4th pick than the first.

I'm really starting to get nervous about tonight. It really sucks that we have a better chance of getting the 4th pick than the first. 65 percent chance at a top 3 pick but yeah I hate nights like tonight. Especially with the Celtics history. I wish we could actually see the ping pong balls being selected so we know the thing isn't rigged. All we see is those dumb flash cards showing us the end result.

The only thing that has me thinking positively is that the actual ping pong ball doesn't have a Celtics logo on it. It's still the Nets pick until the Celtics officially swap both picks. At least I hope this is the case. The Celtics need to make sure the ball says Nets on the thing. Maybe that's the only Karma that will get the Celtics a number one pick for a change.

I'm not worried at all for tonight. The reason is simple, there is no LeBron, Durant, Davis, KAT or Simmons at the top of this draft. I like Fultz, but I like a lot of other players too. A player like Jackson, Monk, Fox, Smith, Tatum etc could easily turn out better than Fultz or Ball. We are going to get a player with all star upside no matter what pick we get. Knowing Danny he could get pick #1 and not even take Fultz or Ball. I am trying to stay positive this year, because worrying in past years has got us nothing but bad luck!

Fultz is better than Simmons in my opinion.

Fultz is better than Simmons in my opinion. Way better IMO. Fultz is the most impressive PG prospect to come out of the draft since John Wall. The questions about his shooting are smaller than they were for Simmons. He's as close as it gets to a sure thing. I also think Ball will be a bust. Ugly shot and no PnR offense.

I see Dwayne Wade with more range in Fultz. Especially because of the shot blocking and defense that he has.

I see Dwayne Wade with more range in Fultz. Especially because of the shot blocking and defense that he has. I don't see that because that guy would probably be the best player in the history of the sport. But I see a ridiculous athlete that plays a somewhat mature game and has uncanny upside. Honestly, I like him better as a college player than John Wall. On that note, please stay really bad for another year Brooklyn.

I mean that's great that you like 6 players in this draft but the reality is that if the the Celtics don't get that number 1 or maybe 2 pick, they're trading it for Butler or George. I mean really, we are talking about 3 maybe 4 players coming out of this draft process. Fultz, George, Butler, and MAYBE Ball. Your idea that if Danny got the number 1 pick and not using it on Fultz is borderline ludicrous.

That's not necessarily the reality. Might be your thought of reality but other than your own thoughts there's really no reason to draw a conclusion like that.

That's not necessarily the reality. Might be your thought of reality but other than your own thoughts there's really no reason to draw a conclusion like that. The Celtics are contenders right now. Those 4 players are the 4 impact players that are helping the Celtics contend in the future and possibly making the Celtics even better next year. That's the only conclusion to draw from this draft process.

That's the only conclusion to draw from this draft process. Says you... why is Ball making the Celtics better next year but Ingram or Jackson aren't? Also, adding Butler to the team means trading some of it away and still doesn't make you a real title contender in the eyes of most. Plus, why not just try to add Hayward and keep the pick so you can play both short and long term? I doubt Danny would cash in for a long shot short term play when they can have a great team now, try to get lucky with the team they have now plus a couple picks and add great long term prospects as well. But he could. THERE ISNT JUST ONE CONCLUSION TO DRAW NO MATTER THE RESULTS TONIGHT.

Right now if I had the choice of Simmons or Fultz I take Simmons. They both have great upside, but Simmons fits this teams needs like a glove. I think a bunch of you are selling Simmons way short.
As to Pedro, hey that's your opinion. I certainly don't agree. You never know what Danny is going to do.

To clarify, I don't think the "path" Pedro laid out is dumb - my issue is with stating it's the only path. It's just not.

The Celtics are going after Hayward regardless of what happens in the draft.
The draft is all about getting the second impact player to add to this group. The ideal situation is Fultz or Ball to add to this group immediately. The Celtics don't want to trade away talent on this roster but they probably will to improve the contending team. That's just a realistic view of everything. A number 3 pick or lower probably means your sacrificing future and pieces on the team, yes. That would be the worst situation possible out of all this.

It's all lining up. It's appropriate that Ball is going to the Lakers too.
